The dust from the 'Landman' Season 2 finale barely settled, and fans are already refreshing their screens and asking the big question out loud: "What's next?" Season 2 officially wrapped up this weekend on Paramount+. And while the ending tied off plenty of loose threads, it also cracked open a new direction that feels like it was designed to keep people talking until season 3 arrives. And yes, before the guesswork runs too wild, the show is absolutely coming back. Paramount+ renewed 'Landman' back in December 2025, as per Entertainment Weekly.

Naturally, casting is the main obsession, and while not every contract has been spelled out in bold letters yet, there's a lot we already know. Starting with the obvious one. Billy Bob Thornton isn't going anywhere. Tommy Norris is the backbone of this show, and season 2 ended with him flipping the entire board by starting his own oil venture. Thornton will be back as Tommy, now working on his own terms and clearly done answering to anyone who doesn't listen. Ali Larter is also locked in to return as Angela, and it's no surprise. Angela isn't just Tommy's partner; she's the anchor of the Norris family.

Andy García, who appeared late in season 1, will continue into season 3 as Dan Morrell, also known as Gallino. Then there's Sam Elliott. Yes, he is staying. Elliott joined in season 2 after previously working with Taylor Sheridan on '1883', according to Just Jared. The finale set him up nicely as the man overseeing drilling operations for the new company. Season 3 clearly has plans for him. Jacob Lofland is also expected back as Cooper Norris.

The finale left Lofland's Norris stepping into the president role of the new company while escaping criminal charges after killing the man who attacked his fiancée. And undoubtedly, Paulina Chávez will return as Ariana, Cooper's partner. Michelle Randolph will reprise her role as Ainsley Norris. She's already hinted that season 3 will finally allow Ainsley to grow up a bit, especially after the college and roommate struggles seen late in season 2. Kayla Wallace is also expected back as Rebecca Falcone.

Mark Collie should return as Sheriff Walt Joeberg, along with James Jordan as Dale Bradley and Colm Feore as Nathan, who handles the financial side of things. Mustafa Speaks is also set to return as Boss. Bobbi Salvör Menuez is likely back as Paigyn after agreeing to room with Ainsley at TCU. The biggest question mark remains Demi Moore. Her character, Cami Miller, fired Tommy and immediately paid the price when he walked off with most of her staff. Whether Moore returns to deal with the fallout is still unclear. It could happen. Or the show could turn fully toward the new company.
