Another season of ‘The Voice’ has wrapped, and with it comes a new champion. Season 29, dubbed ‘Battle of Champions’, came to an end on April 14, bringing together four standout singers and their coaches for one last face-off. By the end of the night, it was Alexia Jayy who walked away with the title, giving Adam Levine another win on the show. This season didn’t follow the usual playbook. Instead of the typical coaching panel, the show featured just three big names: Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Levine. The structure also got a bit of a shake-up, with tweaks to how contestants advanced and how voting worked.

One of the more interesting changes was the addition of a special voting group (Superfans) made up of former contestants and dedicated fans, who cast their votes live during the finale. That little twist definitely kept things interesting right until the very end. Going into the final episode, each coach had at least one artist in the race, though Clarkson had a bit of an edge with two singers representing her team. That’s because she won the ‘All-Star Showdown’ earlier in the season. Each finalist took the stage twice for a solo performance and also teamed up with their coach for a duet. The night opened with Alexia Jayy, who came in strong with a lively rendition of ‘Lady Marmalade’.

She later switched gears and delivered ‘One and Only’, showcasing a different side of her voice. Her duet with Levine, ‘Sunday Morning’, had a relaxed tone and landed well with the audience. Next up was Mikenley Brown from Team Kelly. She performed ‘Almost Is Never Enough’, followed by ‘Man I Need’. Her duet with Clarkson, ‘What Was I Made For’, leaned into a softer, more reflective mood, and the two seemed completely in sync on stage. Lucas West, representing Team Legend, stepped in with ‘Cold As Ice’ before taking on his coach’s track, ‘Ordinary People’. For their duet, West and Legend performed ‘Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me’, which gave them a chance to go big vocally.

Closing out the first round was Liv Ciara, also from Team Kelly. She started with ‘The Greatest’, and then returned with ‘What A Girl Wants’. Her duet with Clarkson, ‘Stay’, was another highlight of the night, with both singers matching each other’s energy. When all the performances were done and the votes were counted, the results were finally in. Alexia Jayy secured the top spot, making her the winner of Season 29. Liv Ciara finished in second place, followed by Lucas West in third. Mikenley Brown rounded out the group in fourth place.
