LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 contestants recently competed in the 'Birthday Bakes' challenge. The episode concluded with the surprising double elimination of Anna Johnson and Chris Geagon. Although both Geags and Anna failed to nail the challenge, the latter didn't deserve eviction. Fox show judge Gordon Ramsay revealed that they will be celebrating everyone's birthday and the contestants are responsible for baking the cakes. The contestants can choose any cake style but the judges wanted to see at least two layers. Additionally, the taste and look of the cake should also need to be outstanding.

Millennials's contestant Anna baked Brown Butter Coffee Cake with Salted Caramel Frosting, Chocolate Whipped Cream and Chocolate Ganache. Joe Bastianich complimented "ambition got the better" of her. Meanwhile, Gordon criticized frosting and Aaron Sánchez claimed it was too sweet. Anna has been in the lead of the last few challenges and has also continuously won immunity twice. The aspiring chef's cooking talent was not hidden and could have flourished more if the judges hadn't made the harsh decision to eliminate her. Other contestants' cakes including Arthur were more terrible than Anna and her elimination was totally unfair.

Anna Johnson pushes back Gen Z with her field challenge advantage

'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 contestant Anna Johnson won a secret advantage during the previous field challenge and she recently used it to push back Gen Z. During the latest episode, Gen Z was barred from using their stand mixers, forcing them from mixing everything by hand.

Anna revealed that Gen Z were most reliant on technology and that could lead to their downfall. The cooks had 90 minutes to bake a cake they definitely struggled to whisk. Despite the hurdle, Gen Z managed to impress the judges and skipped elimination.
