Who is Anna Johnson? 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 contestant's 'top dish' becomes judges' favorite
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 contestant Anna Johnson is a Tax Advisor by day and a chef by night. She originally hails from Ukraine but currently resides in Texas, Dallas. She is also a proud mother of two daughters.
Anna has recently competed in the Fox cooking show and highly impressed the judges, Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez, Joe Bastianich, and guest judge Priya Krishna with her pan-seared duck breast. The Fox show's dish included Purple Potato Puree, Pickled Beets, Brussels Sprouts and Red Wine Butter Sauce.
The Fox show judges called Anna one of the early favorites to win this competition. Priya complimented the dish and claimed that it looked like something that would be served in a high-end restaurant. Joe was impressed with the complex techniques and hoped it tasted as good as it looked.
Joe also claimed that he would put this dish in any restaurant he owns and the duck was cooked perfectly. Gordon noted that she nailed the duck. Aarón was 'an absolute yes.' Anna notably become the first contestant of the season to receive yes from all four judges for her top dish of the night.
Anna Johnson reflects on 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 audition
Just ahead of Anna Johnson's 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 audition premiere, she appeared on a Fox channel to share one of her best recipes. She shared a video from the show and noted, "I am so lucky to have all these amazing experiences this year."
She also reflected on her past and noted, "I rarely pause to look back at my life to see how it evolved and changed over the years." Anna elaborated, "Growing up in Ukraine, pretty much dirt poor, I couldn’t even dream about the opportunity to travel the world, think in a foreign language, be exposed to the amazing cultures and food, work the job that I work, and eventually make a home in the US."
The Fox cooking show star further noted, "Life has been crazy and it rarely feels like an achievement, but today is a beautiful, joyful, and fulfilling day."

'MasterChef: Generations' contestant Anna Johnson wants to inspire her daughters
'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 contestant Anna Johnson has a very successful career but she wanted to be an inspiration to her daughters. She also wanted to show her daughters how to chase their dreams. She also wanted to show her kids that if they put in enough time and effort, they can achieve anything they want.
During the auditions, Anna shared, "I'm very successful but it's not what I that they have to go and pursue their dreams if they really believe in them." She explained, "I was just focusing on my career and raising my children and so pursuing my dream was not really something I could do." She added, "I'm doing something for myself." After she was advanced to the next round, Anna noted, "I'm super stoked to wear this apron for my children."
