LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The second season of 'Sweet Tooth,' one of Netflix's most awaited shows, depicts a post-apocalyptic world in which Gus, a hybrid, and his fellow hybrids have been captured by General Abbott and the First Men. Season two will show how Abbot wants to find a cure and amass power, whereas Dr. Singh genuinely wants to save his infected wife, Rani. Gus, as always the hero, agrees to assist Dr Adithya Singh, opening a new path for him on a dark journey to discover his origins. 'Sweet Tooth' Season 2 will be something they eagerly anticipate.

Under the Team Downey production umbrella, Jim Mickle serves as showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer. The other executive producers are Linda Moran, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, and Amanda Burrell. Evan Moore of Team Downey joins them as the series co-executive producer. 'Sweet Tooth' Season 2 will be produced by Warner Bros Television, as was Season 1.

Who stars in 'Sweet Tooth' Season 2?

Christian Convery as Gus

In 'Sweet Tooth', Christian Convery plays Gus, the first hybrid in the bizarre new world. Gus and his father Pubba had been living in a forest fairy tale for nearly 10 years since the Great Crumble began. However, Pubba's idyllic life is destroyed when he is killed in a clash with the hybrid-hating First Men militia. Gus begins an adventure to discover his origins and the history of the Sick. Gus is kidnapped by the First Men and put in prison in a cage with other hybrid children in the Season 1 finale. In Season 2, he and his fellow hybrids will attempt to flee General Abbott.

Nonso Anozie as Tommy Jepperd

Nonso Anozie plays Tommy Jepperd in 'Sweet Tooth', a loner who now has left the ranks of the First Men to stay alive at the end of the world on his own. However, when he meets Sweet Tooth aka Gus, his lonely heart expands a few sizes, and Jepperd is suddenly open to caring for another person.

Adeel Akhtar as Dr Singh

On the show, Adeel Akhtar plays Dr Singh, a doctor who became a doctor to heal people, but the Sick changes his plans when his wife Rani becomes ill, and after the Great Crumble, Singh finds another doctor who can give Rani antiviral medication. When that colleague retires, Singh's moral code is tested by circumstance as he weighs his principles against his wife's safety. Singh eventually accepts a position for the violent General Abbot just to keep himself and Rani alive.

Neel Sandilands as General Abbot

On the show, Neel Sandilands plays General Abbot, the brutal and bloodthirsty leader of the First Men. He despises hybrids and anyone who abandons his militant group. Abbot has captured the Preserve, Gus, and the rest of the hybrid children in Season 2. He's also determined to use Dr Singh to find a cure for the Sick — and is willing to go to any length to do so.

Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear

On the show, Stefania LaVie Owen plays Bear, who is initially the leader of the all-teenage Animal Army but is prompted out for assisting the adult Jepperd. She isn't a hybrid like Gus; she's just a teen who despises adults. She criticizes them for the combustion dump site that is the globe in which she and the hybrids must grow up. Becky devotes her time to Gus and, reluctantly, Jep. She's on the lookout for her younger sister, who could be another of Sweet Tooth's adorable hybrids.

Other characters who appear on the show include Yonas Kibreab as Finn, Christopher Sean Cooper Jr as Teddy, Aliza Vellani as Rani Singh, Marlon Williams as Johnny Abbot, Naledi Murray as Wendy, and Dania Ramirez as Aimee Eden. Further, James Brolin is also back as the voice of the narrator.

Catch 'Sweet Tooth' Season 2's release on April 27, 2023, exclusively on Netflix.
