Kyle Cook drops clues on how ‘Summer House’ reunion audio may have gotten leaked: ‘They are stuck…’
Kyle Cooke has come out with his takes regarding the controversial leak from the highly anticipated 'Summer House' reunion. For people unaware of the situation, a leak from the reunion made its way to social media, capturing juicy 'side chick' and 'schmuck' allegations. Bravo has already launched investigations, and now the stars themselves are chiming in with opinions. Cooke, in a series of stories, put out his speculations about who did the deed, and despite sharing an icy equation with Wilson West, exonerated him from blame. He also warned the culprit to seek "cover or counsel" because their actions will surely be dealt with strongly by the network.
Cooke thinks it is unlikely that any of the cast or crew was behind the leak. “This was not a phone on set,” he explained. “If you have a phone on set, it's stuck behind a pillow or couch cushion, so the cameras can't see it. I don't really see why anyone would gain [from] having leaked this. That goes for producers, crew [and] Bravo. This is someone clearly acting on their own. It doesn't even look like that got paid because the audio clip is everywhere.” Also, he does not think any makeup or hair artist hired for the event was responsible. "They are stuck in the dressing rooms. They don't actually get to see or hear anything. It's kind of a boring day for them," he shared.
Cooke believes whoever captured the sound had their phone close to a speaker where the reunion's live feed was on. Amanda Batula's ex-husband (not legally, as mentioned in the leaked audio) doubled down that the deed did not take place on set. “The audio itself from all the cast sounds like it's audio from our mics. There's no way you could put your phone on set and capture what you're hearing in a way where it would make sense based on the seating chart,” he noted. Though he listed people who could not have done this in the stories, he did not have any guesses about it. The OG 'Summer House' cast member shares that the reunion was a "highly restricted, highly secured" event. He has no idea who broke in and walked away with the clip.
Cooke called the whole state of affairs “frustrating” because the cast bared their all, and this was not the way any of them would have wanted it to come out to the audience. “I don’t even know why this clip would have been the one that they’d share, like, it’s just unfortunate all around because we put it all out there. It was like a 12-hour day, and to wake up to this is a bummer,” Cooke shared. However, he seemed to hint that the juicier bits are still reserved for the actual episode. “I don’t even know why this clip would’ve been the one that they share,” he shared.
The reunion addressed the 'Scamanda' scandal that has rocked social media worldwide. The scandal involves the love triangle between Ciara Miller, Amanda Batula, and Wilson West. Several cast members came on hot and heavy. Many speculated that West was the culprit behind the leak. As per TMZ, rumors swirled that he had been fired because of this leak, which has now been proven false. However, no one has been given a clean chit. Cast member KJ Dillard also professed innocence on his social media. “I wouldn’t risk losing my job by leaking audio of a deeply emotional reunion. The leak wasn’t me.” 'Summer House' is currently airing new episodes on Bravo on Tuesdays at 8/7c. According to Cosmopolitan, the reunion will likely air sometime around May 26 after the premiere of 'In The City.'
