'RHOBH's Rob Minkoff hints Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's split story was 'planted' by Morgan Wade

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's romantic turmoil unfolded on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 13. In the season finale on February 21, drama escalated a month after their annual white party when news of their separation leaked. Co-star Rob Minkoff raised suspicions, asking if Morgan Wade was the source of the leak. The Richards family addressed the issue in a conference a week after the PEOPLE article, aiming to clarify the situation, a moment Netflix didn't capture in their version.

The family was in Aspen when news of the separation broke, seemingly unplanned. Mauricio wants to find the leaker, but Kyle is uninterested. Dorit Kemsley informed her husband that "Kyle never, ever gave an indication that they were separating," which Paul "PK" Kemsley described as "pretty f**ked up."

Annemarie Wiley was intrigued by the possibility that "the PEOPLE magazine exclusive came from Kyle as a way to get ahead of what everyone else is saying about her." Crystal Kung Minkoff's husband, Rob, thought that Morgan leaked the story, whereas Sutton Stracke told Garcelle Beauvais, "I think that Kyle was lying to us this whole time. To me, this is sus. The whole thing."

Despite Kyle's public clarifications of her relationship with Morgan, suspicions persist. When questioned about being tired of rumors, Kyle stated it's not always the case.

Kyle has confessed that, despite the split, she and her husband, Mauricio, continue to live together. While it is unusual to live with an estranged spouse after breaking up, it appears that this arrangement is working well for the couple.

On February 21, the host of TODAY asked Kyle about her current relationship with Mauricio. While fans have been watching the drama on 'RHOBH', neither of them has stated if reconciliation is out of the question.

Kyle had previously hesitated to use the term "divorce" when addressing her split from Mauricio. Understandably, some fans began to wonder if the pair, who had been married since 1996, still had a chance to restore their marriage.

She said that even though they are no longer together, they still sleep in the same house, just not in the same bedroom.

"The current status is we live under the same roof. It feels so funny to talk about this," the reality star told Daily Mail, joking that she felt like she was talking to a therapist after being asked about the subject.

She also added, "We live under the same roof in different rooms. We are fortunate enough that we have other homes. He comes and goes, and when we are all there, it’s sort of like… if he is there for dinner, great! It’s an unconventional arrangement, but it seems to be working for them, at least for now."

Kyle explained that the choice to split ways was far from simple. However, there were aspects of her marriage that she was unwilling to endure.

Kyle stated that she felt adamant about it when her friend Lorena Shea committed suicide in 2022.

The Season 13 reunion of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' begins with Part 1 on Wednesday, February 28, at 8/7c on Bravo. Part two of the reunion will air on Wednesday, March 6, at 8/7c. The reunion will wrap up with Part 3 on Wednesday, March 13, at 8/7c.
