The series revolves around Alex Guzman (Manolo Cardona) and how he is blamed for the death of his own sister Sara (Ximena Lamadrid) after a freak accident. After spending almost 18 years in prison for a crime that he never committed, Alex is now out and seeks redemption from the Lazcanos. He will stop at nothing until everyone is held accountable.

The show switches back and forth between two timelines, following Alex as he enacts his revenge on the Lazcanos in the present day and 18 years earlier, as the show documents what happened on the day of Sara’s accident and the weeks immediately following and leading up to her death.
