TUSCON, ARIZONA: The most iconic show in television history is returning with its OG host. Fox's 'America's Most Wanted' Season 28 will air on January 22 only on Fox and the next day on Hulu. This time John Walsh, the crime activist will return with his son, Callahan Walsh. The first episode will deal with the story of Luis and Kahmila Ramirez. The then five-year-old boy and his six-month-old sister were kidnapped from an Arizona park in 2018.

The U.S. Marshal and the Tucson Police Department reached out to the public for assistance in locating the accused couple Luis Sr. and Andrea Vanessa Ramirez. The couple is accused of abducting their non-custodial children, 5-year-old Luis and 6-month-old Kahmila from Tuscon, Arizona.

This time 'America's Most Wanted' will aim to help more missing children and will work directly with the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). Callahan Walsh feels it is important to put the missing children in front of the world and ask viewers all over the world to look for them. The father-son duo is hopeful of bringing back Luis and Kahmila Ramirez. The NCMEC has also provided for the age progression image of the children, Kahmila would be 6 and Luis would be around 10.

How did Luis Sr. and Andrea Vanessa Ramirez kidnap Luis and Kahmila Ramirez?

Fearing arrest due to sexually assaulting a minor and losing custody of their children, the Ramirez couple decided to elope. They went to see the children in a park in Tuscon, Atlanta as they already had to give their children away to Child protective services. For the 5-year-old Luis and six-month-old Kahmila, it was a normal outing in the park with their supervisor. The innocent fellows had no idea what evil their parents planned for. Luis Sr. and Andrea Ramirez assaulted a worker during a supervised visit at Silverlake Park and duct-tapped and tasered her to a tree before eloping with the children forcefully.

Did Ramirez couple sexually harass Luis and Kahmila Ramirez?

The Ramirez couple did not sexually harass the innocent children as per police reports. The abduction took place after the couple's arraignment on 20 counts of sexual exploitation of an unnamed minor. Court documents revealed that this heinous crime took place for over three years from August 2013 and July 2016. The police also pointed out that this case was unrelated to their children Luis and Kahmila Ramirez.

According to the Arizona Republic, the prosecutors charged the couple with numerous counts related to child pornography, molestation, and child abuse, according to the Pima County grand jury indictment. The couple was charged with two counts of child abuse by giving alcohol to a minor and having a loaded firearm within reach of the children. Luis Sr. faced additional charges of indecent exposure, molestation of a girl, and luring a minor for sexual exploitation. To escape the police, authorities believe that Ramirez decided to elope. Police found the couple's 1996 Toyota Camry in Nogales, near the Mexico border.

Who has custody of Luis and Kahmila Ramirez?

The custody of Luis and Kahmila Ramirez has been snatched from their criminal parents and entrusted to Aunt Erika Ramirez, who has been appointed as legal guardians. She also stated that she just wants the children safe and sound back home. She misses them a lot especially celebrating events such as birthdays with them. She mentioned that'We will never stop looking for you' stating the missing children.

There have been relentless efforts about the fugitive and the missing children that even reached national television as it was featured in REELZ's 'On Patrol Live' and 'In Pursuit with John Walsh', but there has been no trace of the couple or the sibling.

Tune in to Fox to watch the premiere episode of 'America's Most Wanted' Season 27 with John Walsh and his son Callahan Walsh airing on January 22, 2024, at 9 pm ET/PT.
