In a heartwarming collaboration, Sterling joined forces with Jonathan and Drew Scott in Season 7 of 'Celebrity IOU' to orchestrate a delightful surprise for Zoila with a kitchen makeover.
Zoila recently acquired her first home, and Sterling was eager to make her dream renovation a reality. 'This Is Us' star regards Zoila as a family member who played a crucial role in caring for Sterling's children, Andrew, and Amaré, whom he shares with his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe.
In the preview of the 'Celebrity IOU' Season 7 finale episode, Sterling called Zoila his 'lifesaver' and noted, "To have someone in your home that you trust implicitly is irreplaceable."
Sterling expressed his gratitude to his longtime friend and the nanny for his children, acknowledging her role in delivering a stunning renovation to her kitchen.
He aimed to craft a 'more practical kitchen' and 'dining area' for Zoila's four children and adopted granddaughter. Sterling along with the Scott brothers worked together to demolish Zoila's home walls, eliminating the inconvenient separation between the kitchen and living room.

Sterling K Brown's children's nanny, Zoila, expressed her desire to adopt her granddaughter. However, she could only proceed with the official procedure if she had a sufficiently spacious house to accommodate her entire family.
In a previous interview with People, 'Celebrity IOU' Season 7 star Drew Scott discussed the renovation experience with Sterling.
Scott also revealed to the outlet that Zoila worked hard to 'buy a home so that she could legally adopt her granddaughter.' He shared, "She [Zoila] was in the process of adopting her granddaughter." He added, "The problem is the courts or the system said that she's not allowed to unless she had a house that could function for that number of people."
Drew further pointed out that Zoila recognized the affordable house she purchased outside of Los Angeles wasn't 'feasible for the family.' In a generous gesture, Sterling stepped in to assist Zoila in a complete transformation of her house, ensuring she could meet the requirements to legally adopt her granddaughter.
Drew and Jonathan Scott dubs Sterling K Brown a 'wrecking machine'
'Celebrity IOU' Season 7 hosts, Drew and Jonathan Scott, recently reminisced about Sterling K Brown's impressive renovation skills and his biceps.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Drew shared, "Sterling K Brown, I mean, everyone knows his biceps, and are they actually handy? Yes, they are."
He also added, "He demoed a kitchen. He did amazing. He was a wrecking machine." Drew further claimed that Sterling could do the house demolition as a full-time job stating, "I would say he and Brad Pitt are the two that they should do this for a living."
Meanwhile, Jonathan revealed that Sterling was contemplating giving up acting. 'Celebrity IOU' star shared with the outlet, "I don't want to disappoint anybody but Sterling did say he would be willing to give up acting. If we took him out of the acting world, I think all of his fans would hate us."
