'The Boys' introduces its most gross supe so far in Season 5 opener — everything we know
Contains spoilers for 'The Boys' Season 5 Episode 1: 'Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite'
'The Boys' Season 5 introduces new supes to the fold. Ahead of its premiere, the series revealed new characters set to appear in the final season. Ely Henry, Dylan Colton, Emma Elle Paterson, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan make their entrance in the latest. Henry plays 'The Worm,' while Colton, Paterson, and Ramakrishnan are introduced as members of Teenage Kix, Vought International’s all-teenage supe group. The Worm gets his screentime in the first episode after Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) seeks him out for an assist to break into the Freedom camp holding Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), Frenchie (Tomer Capone), and Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso) as inmates after they are captured by Homelander's men at the end of Season 4.

The introduction is part-hilarious, part-gross, as Henry's character, revealed to be an ex-supe, grabs a handful of mud from a potted plant on his table and munches it. The larger mission was to dig a hole from Rochester to the camp, and what follows is quintessential 'The Boys'. Henry strips down and starts shoveling the mud in his mouth, while ejecting it out from his butt (eww, we know!). But that's a superpower, and he's a supe.
Episode 1, titled 'Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite,' sees Henry get roughly about five minutes of screentime, but he does leave a mark. As for the rest of the characters, they are likely to be revealed in the second episode, titled 'Teenage Kix'. That's as far as his role goes in the season opener. Fans will remember Henry as NIS Junior Chemist Phil Elertson on CBS’s NCIS: Origins.' He also starred in HBO's 'Hacks', Apple TV's 'For All Mankind', and Peacock’s 'Mrs. Davis'.
'The Boys' Season 5 picks up from where it left off with an explosive start to the final chapter. As for deaths, the show continues to make bold decisions, killing major characters. Jessie T Ushee's A-Train kicks the bucket at the hands of Homelander (Antony Starr) in the final minutes of the first episode after he rescues Hughie, who almost gets lasered by the evil supe. His death is a full-circle moment for the character, who starts as an arrogant speedster, later changing his ways and committing to doing right by the people he loves. 'The Boys' premiered on Wednesday with two episodes, and new episodes drop weekly on Wednesdays on Prime Video.
