MALMO, SWEDEN: 'America's Got Talent' Season 19 contestant Oscar Stembridge is an award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Sweden. The 16-year-old performer has been singing from a very young age and has also achieved massive success. He was 5 when he started playing piano and quickly progressed to acoustic guitar, ukulele, and drums.

Oscar played his first live gig at the age of 6 and has since built a massive global fan base, amassing over 300,000 followers on social media. In 2022, he became the youngest performer to win Rookie Artist of the Year at the Sweden Pop Awards for his EP titled 'Thir13en'.

Oscar wrote the critically acclaimed song when he was 13, detailing the teenage anguish of being belittled by the system and the hope that follows. The singer has also earned a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award nomination for Sweden's Favorite Star. Additionally, Oscar has also starred in the lead role in Sweden's smash hit kids' TV show, "KÄR" and in the final series of the popular "Up4Noise" as Felix in 2021.

Oscar completed his Year 9 education in 2023 and has spent much of 2024 writing new songs and playing live. He still performs on the streets of his hometown. However, Oscar is set to make his 'AGT' debut, showcasing his extraordinary talent to the judges, Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel.

Oscar Stembridge performed for Sweden's Her Royal Highness

'AGT' Season 19 contestant Oscar Stembridge performed live for Sweden's Her Royal Highness, the Crown Princess Victoria on her birthday in 2020. He delivered a powerhouse performance in front of millions of TV viewers. He was 12 years old at that time and performed his cover of the American rock group Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'' in front of Sweden's Royal Family.

Oscar was invited to the royal birthday due to his immense popularity. Artists such as Queen, Aerosmith, Camila Cabello, Calum Scott, James TW, Grace VanderWaal, and Guns N' Roses notably reshared Oscar's music videos online when he was just 7 years old.

Oscar Stembridge is an environmentalist

Besides being a great singer, Oscar Stembridge is also a passionate environmentalist. He serves as an official ambassador for TogetherBand and Surfers Against Sewage.

Oscar penned his first song, 'We March,' as a call to action when he was 11 years old. He performed the song live for 60,000 people in Stockholm at the largest public march in the country's history.

Meanwhile, Oscar's first single on his debut EP, 'Don't Lie To Me', addressed corporate greenwashing. The singer donated his earnings from the single to the environmental charity Climate Live.

He has continued to raise his voice for the planet and recently performed live at the Circus Arena in Stockholm in front of more than 60,000 people, marking the largest climate concert in Sweden.

He has also performed at historic Swedish venues, including Scandinavia's biggest music TV show in front of more than a million people. Oscar also made history as the youngest artist ever to grace the Main Stage at the Boardmasters Festival in the UK. He has also toured across Sweden to raise money for the mental health charity 'Never Alone'.
