LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix has approved the production of a new Swedish comedy film titled 'One More Time', which draws parallels to the popular movie, 'Groundhog Day'. The feature will be directed by Jonatan Etzler, who received a Student Academy Award for his short film, 'Get Ready with Me', while the lead role will be played by Hedda Stiernstedt, known for her work in the TV series, 'Beforeigners'.
The Swedish comedy film marks Jonatan Etzler's feature film debut, following his success in winning a Student Academy Award for his short film, 'Get Ready with Me'. The screenplay is penned by Tove Forsman and Sofie Forsman, who has previously worked on hit productions such as 'Young Royals' and 'The Playlist'. Per the Netflix website, 'One More Time' has a pretty intriguing plot which says, "When 40-year-old Amelia (Hedda Stiernstedt) is hit by a truck the night of her birthday she wakes up back in 2002, on her 18th birthday, with the chance to relive her best day and make her life the perfect vision of what she’d intended it to be. But when she realizes that she’s stuck in a time-loop, destined to relive the same day over and over again, she decides to figure out what she needs to fix in order to literally leave the past behind and return to present day."
