ORANGE PARK, FLORIDA: HGTV is known to churn out home renovation shows one after the other. And now, the streaming platform has yet another renovation show on the horizon titled, ‘The Renovator’. The series stars none other than the famous entrepreneur and TV personality Markus Lemonis and will feature the businessman helping out multiple families redesign their abode into one of comfort and beauty. Marcus will be using his personal experiences and his passion for design to create homes with a stronger foundation and, on the way, help rekindle communication between families.

The show is HGTV’s latest venture into the home renovation genre for which the platform is popularly known. The highly anticipated Season 1 of ‘The Renovator’ will have about eight episodes for fans to watch and will premiere on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, on the streaming platform. Fans can hope to see plenty of family drama take place over the course of the series with lots of innovative design thinking from host Markus. HGTV even released a small snippet of the show featuring a family of six struggling to renovate their home. In the snippet, Markus promises to make their home more livable and strengthen their relationship while in the process. Other HGTV home renovation shows to watch out for are ‘Renovation Island’, ‘Love It Or List It’, and ‘Renovation Impossible’.

Who is Markus Lemonis?

Entrepreneur, philanthropist, and star of CNBC’s ‘The Profit’, Markus Lemonis, will be hosting the very first season of ‘The Renovator’. Markus is a Lebanese-born American businessman, television personality, and philanthropist. He owns several small businesses and is the CEO of Camping World, Good Sam Enterprises, Gander RV, and The House Boardshop. The investor started his career by working with his grandfather’s dealership. Markus will team up with homeowners to reinvigorate their tired living spaces in the brand new show, 'The Renovator’. Markus gained widespread popularity after his stint on ‘The Profit’. More than 50 businesses have appeared on the CNBC hit reality show, and Markus has invested nearly $50 million of his own money in the companies featured on the series.

Markus was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1973 and was adopted by a Lebanese and Greek couple living in Miami, Florida, when he was nine months old. He has been interested in entrepreneurship since the ripe age of 12 when he started a lawn mowing service to generate money to open a candy business. Markus has attended Marquette University, where he studied Political Science, Criminology, and Economics. RV Business Magazine named him their 2007 Newsmaker of the Year. He was also featured in Crain’s Chicago Business’s 2005 edition of ‘40 under 40’. In 2008, Ernst & Young named him Entrepreneur of the Year.

In the brand new HGTV, Markus will identify problems with his clients’ homes, and through many honest and up-front conversations and activities framed by the design process, he will be providing solutions for each family’s physical surroundings and personal troubles. Fans can expect dramatic backyard makeovers and improved connections between the family members in each episode.



 

 Season 1 of ‘The Renovator’ is all set to premiere on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 8/7c on HGTV.
