BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: She was the voice behind one of the most recognizable movie soundtrack tunes of the last decade, but no one knew her identity. Loren Allred was the voice behind one of the most successful movie soundtrack songs for years until stepping out of the shadows on 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2022 to unveil the face behind the show-stopping tune.

Rebecca Ferguson played opera soprano Jenny Lind in 'The Greatest Showman', stunning audiences with the film's "Never Enough" song, although she didn't perform it. She had a musical background, having studied numerous sorts of dance and attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School, but she wasn't completely sure about her singing voice.

Rebecca hasn't been shy about it, admitting that if she had messed up, she would have been mortified.

Loren, who previously was on Adam Levine's team on 'The Voice,' provides the voice in the song "Never Enough." Loren has also remarked about her experience in 'The Greatest Showman', telling DeseretNews that her cooperation with Rebecca was "a perfect match" since "no one could have played that role as well as Rebecca did."

Loren has additional musical experience, in addition to performing the song "Never Enough" from 'The Greatest Showman'. She has appeared in various television programs, including A Capitol Fourth, a PBS presentation commemorating the Fourth of July.

Another significant television special in which she was featured was the 2018 Academy Awards, when she sang in the choir for "This is Me." Finally, Loren sang in the ensemble choir for the film 'Dear Evan Hansen' in 2021.

Horror movie actress Rebecca has been open about it and complimented Loren's work, which speaks much about both her and Loren.

Loren, of Brooklyn, New York, addressed 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' about growing up with both parents as music professors. According to an April 2023 interview with the New York Post, she is the oldest of three daughters and was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She acknowledged Mariah Carey and her dad as musical inspirations. Separate from the Got Talent stage, the 34-year-old performer has received high accolades from reviewers worldwide, including Variety, Hollywood Life, and award-winning musician Michael Bublé, according to Loren's website.

Since her vocals were used on 'The Greatest Showman's Grammy Award-winning soundtrack, she has collaborated with several prominent names in the music industry, including a duet with Michael in 2019 for his album Help Me Make It Through the Night.

Loren has taken her music on tour alongside Andrea Bocelli and David Foster, as seen by her Instagram profile. She also performs original music, and is presently promoting the single "I Hear Your Voice" off her 2023 six-track EP of the same name.

Loren Allred missed out on 'Britain's Got Talent' title

That insight is what made the Brooklyn, New York, native decide to compete on 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2022. Judge Amanda Holden gave Loren the Golden Buzzer after she gave a riveting rendition of "Never Enough" that had the audience and judges cheering.

On 'Britain's Got Talent', Loren sang her own song, "Last Thing I'll Ever Need," and advanced to the finals. She placed ninth in the competition despite her impressive performance, which did not win her the top prize.

Loren Allred got eliminated from 'The Voice' after 1 week

Loren's popularity in reality competitions extends beyond 'Britain's Got Talent. She also appeared on 'The Voice' in 2012, joining Coach Adam Levine's squad.

She was eliminated the first week after the live broadcasts started. Loren auditioned for 'American Idol' four years ago, and the Deseret News covered the event at the time.

Where is 'BGT's Loren Allred now?

Loren's life continues to revolve around music. Earlier in 2023, she released her new EP, I Hear Your Voice, named after the title song.

She penned the song to commemorate her grandma. Some of the voicemails (sent by her grandmother expressing her pride in her) were also used in the song's music video as a "perfect tribute to my Nana," Loren explained.

Loren was also one of the vocalists who participated in music pioneer David Foster's Hitman tour of Asia in August. Loren also revealed in 2023 that she was the "musical guest" at the Andrea Bocelli Foundation founders' dinner, characterizing it as a "magical evening."

Loren Allred joins Team Simon for 'AGT: Fantasy League'

Loren, a Brooklyn-based singer and member of Judge Simon Cowell's Dream Team, thought it was time to emerge from the shadows and show the world who she really was. Loren, who took the 'AGT' stage for the first time on Fantasy League, said she was "over the moon" to reveal to Judges Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum that she was the real-life voice behind the popular song "Never Enough" from the 2017 blockbuster 'The Greatest Showman'.

The former 'Britain's Got Talent' competitor told the 'AGT: Fantasy League' judges that she was a 24-year-old waitress when she first met the songwriters of 'The Greatest Showman' and was invited to record a demo.

She subsequently found that they chose to have the film's actress sing over Loren's vocals, despite Loren being "so excited" to have her voice in the Oscar-nominated movie.

Loren astounded judges and viewers alike with her exceptional vocal range when playing an "updated" rendition of "Never Enough," which brought Mel B to her feet. Simon had no reservations about including Loren on his squad, calling her performance "honestly spectacular."

'AGT: Fantasy League' airs every Monday at 8/7c on NBC. If you are unable to see the show live, new episodes will be available for streaming the next day on Peacock.
