Adam Levine 'misses' being coach on 'The Voice' but says he is having 'greatest time ever' with his two daughters

Adam Levine decided to leave the show after being the coach on it for 16 seasons and said he will cherish it for the rest of his life.

Adam Levine decided to bid goodbye to the show after being a coach on 'The Voice' for 16 seasons but it seems like the singer is already missing being on the show. Appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' Levine noted that he missed the feeling of being on the show. "I really do miss it," he said. "I love the people that I met and worked with, and you all obviously know how I feel about [fellow coach] Blake [Shelton]... I do miss it but I don't miss how much I had to work."

Adam Levine of Maroon 5 performs during the Pepsi Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on February 03, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia.

However, the singer noted that more than being a judge on the show he loved being a dad to his daughters. "I was constantly working for so many years — very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed and all that — but to just be able to stop at this moment to spent time with my new young family and just have the greatest time ever", he said.

"Now, I'm a stay-at-home dad. I just stay at home and do very little", he further added. Levine has two beautiful daughters, Gio Grace, three, and Dusty Rose, one, with wife, Behati Prinsloo. The singer noted that he never thought he could love someone the way he loves his daughters.

Blake Shelton and Adam Levine share a beautiful friendship on 'The Voice', which is showcased by this photo tweeted by Levine along with the caption: "A rare moment of tenderness. ❤️"

"I'm obsessed with them", he said. "I genuinely just adore them in a way I never knew I could adore any person." Adam had revealed about him leaving the show back in May in an Instagram post. The 'Maroon 5' band member noted that he had been part of the show for decades and felt it was the right time to walk out.

"I said to myself “there's some magic here. Something is definitely happening.” It went on to be a life-shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever. Thank you, NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life," he noted.

Levine further noted that he thought this was the best time to end his ties with the show as he wrote, "For me, it was time to move on. Your support has meant EVERYTHING." Recently, it was announced that Nick Jonas will be replacing Gwen Stefani in Season 18 of the show.
