'Don't put yourself through that': 'The Voice' coach Blake Shelton trolls Carson Daly's son Jackson over singing skills
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Shelton is appearing on 'The Voice' Season 23 for the last time. He is leaving the NBC show with tons of happy and sad memories. Over the years, Blake has hysterically trolled his fellow coaches but no one was able to hit him back.
However, TV host Carson Daly enjoyed an exchange with Blake roasting the cowboy and even testing the strength of his and Gwen Stefani's marriage. No doubt, Daly is one of the close friends Blake, and the OG coach know Daly's 13-year-old son Jackson James Daly well. And Daly's son didn't miss a chance to mock Blake.

Jackson is the oldest of Daly's four kids, who he shares with Siri Daly. Jackson was only six when Daly and Siri got married. Additionally, he walked his mother down the aisle. Jackson, 13, seemingly followed his father's footsteps and inherited reporting skills from Carson. Jackson made a television debut on 'NBC Nightly News Kids Edition in 2020. During his debut, Jackson told about the Cincinnati Zoo and its online excursions in the Kids Corner segment. Notably, Jackson also visited Carson on the set of 'The Voice' and met Blake.
Blake Shelton mocks Carson Daly's son
Daly's son Jackson and Blake share the same witty back-and-forth dynamic which Blake shares with Daly. Jackson recently sat down with Blake for 'Nightly News With Lester Holt: Kids Edition'. Daly's son started his interview by asking Blake about his exit from 'The Voice'. Notably, Jackson trolled the longest-serving host for leaving his dad. The 14-year-old correspondent asked, "You and my dad have been on 'The Voice' throughout it all. Why are you leaving him?" Responding to Jackson, Blake joked, "When I first started on this show, I think you were 1 and I felt like I just wanted to stay here long enough that I felt like you were grown enough to make it on your own without my influence." However, Jackson further continued the interview and asked Blake what advice he could give him for trying out. But the OG coach was ready with a befitting reply. Blake mocked Jackson saying, "What I would say to you is, music's probably not gonna be your path." Blake further quipped, "I've heard you singing. Please, for the sake of your own self-worth, don't put yourself through that."
