Who is Carson Daly's wife? TV host, 48, calls 'sleep-divorce' with Siri Pinter 'best thing that happened'
Carson Daly, co-host of TODAY, revealed that he's been sleeping better ever since he got served with his 'sleep divorce' papers. He revealed that he and his wife, Siri Pinter, are still sleeping on different beds for the past two years and it has been proven effective. Daly told the viewers that whenever he's not with his wife, he either crashes on the couch or sleeps in the guest room.
He explained this during a conversation with the rest of the hosts while they were discussing various sleeping techniques, such as the Scandinavian sleep method where a couple shares the same bed, but different blankets. Daly said, "I was served my sleep-divorce papers a few years ago. It’s the best thing that ever happened to us. We both, admittedly, slept better apart. We've reconciled a little bit, so we're just sleep separated. So some nights I'm in the bed. Some nights I'm on the couch or in the guest room." The host and his wife, a Today Food contributor and a producer according to her IMDb profile, started sleeping apart when she was pregnant with their fourth child, Goldie, in March 2020. The duo first dated each other for 10 years which was followed by a two-year-long engagement.

Daly continued talking about the Scandinavian sleeping method and said, "You have your own comforters or duvets. Studies have actually found that sleeping with the same blanket can result in more interrupted sleep, as much as 30 percent." Hoda Kotb and Craig Melvin also. However, co-star Tom Llamas was totally against the concept. He said, "It is against everything about marriage and having a partner,' he explained. 'It's all about compromise and sharing. Also, how do you snuggle in bed?"
Who is Siri Pinter?
While the duo is only been married for six years, they have been together for more than a decade. Daly first met Siri when she was a writer's assistant for his show 'Late Night with Carson Daly' which aired from 2002 to 2019. Daly has killed it in the hosting business and his fans absolutely adore him, but Siri on the other hand has managed a good blog called 'Siriously Delicious'. In 2018, she also published a cookbook called 'Siriously Delicious: 100 Nutritious (And Not So Nutritious) Simple Recipes for the Real Home Cook.'
As mentioned above, she has some experience behind the TV also as she's worked on classic sitcoms like 'Fraiser', 'Nobody', and movies like 'Nobody's Watching.' She has been in the touch with the world of glamor as her father, Mark Pinter, is an actor. Mark has made name for himself by being a part of some critically acclaimed shows like 'Mad Men' and 'Narcos: Mexico'. He's also worked in daily soaps like 'General Hospital' and 'The Young And The Restless'.
What caused Carson Daly's sleep divorce?
In an interview with People back in 2020, Daly went into the complexities of the entire concept and why he and his wife started following it. He said, "We're both pretty good-sized humans, and it just wasn't really working when she was in her third trimester, and I also have sleep apnea, which is very sexy for the ladies out there, I'm sure. She couldn't get comfortable, so we were like a commercial you would see, kicking each other and just not sleeping. We woke up and we just shook hands like, ‘I love you, but it's time to sleep divorce. It'll be the best thing for all of us." "I don't know if we'll ever sleep together again," said Daly jokingly.
Daly and Siri share 4 children, Jackson, 13, Etta, 9, London, 7, and Goldie, 2. The pair continued to sleep apart after the birth of their youngest daughter as they were temporarily living in California while Daly was busy filming 'The Voice.' Whether they'll sleep again or not is a mystery, but the way he talks about the change and how things got better for both of them, they might never share a bed again.
