LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Juan Pablo Galavis is one of the most despised figures in 'The Bachelor' history. According to folklore, the mere mention of his name is enough to wilt roses, and in certain circles, his voice is supposed to make champagne go flat.

Juan Pablo was on Season 18 of 'The Bachelor' and ultimately chose Nikki Ferrell, however, the couple split in 2014. Nonetheless, he returned to ABC on March 24 to play a new role: the encouraging father of an 'American Idol' contender.

'The Bachelor' viewers will recall how Juan Pablo frequently used his little daughter, Camila Galavis, as an excuse to avoid kissing the ladies he didn't want to kiss. She was 4 or 5 years old during his season, and ABC fans got to meet her as a teenager when she won a trip to Hollywood from judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan.

On YouTube, viewers expressed how they weren't fan of this crossover as they wrote under Camila's Idol audition clip, "She's only here because of the TV show crossover. Next!" Another person took a jab at her writing, "There are literally ten year olds out there who sound so much better. We love nepotism though."

One user even called her, "Deff not AI material!" A fourth person wrote, "Holy it has gone down hill when having a famous parent gets you in this easily. She seems like a nice girl but she is not on par with the type of talent this show used to require. Allowing people who are not as skilled yet sets them up to fail... it's honestly cruel."

One fan further commented, "I don't care who her father is, there is no way I would let my 14 year old child be fed to Hollywood so they can mold her to WHAT they want not what's best for the child!!!" Another predicted, "Knocked out in first round. Luke did not do her a favor." 

On X, fans tweeted, "camila no for me.. but they will advance her since daddy been on abc show..." Others wrote, "Nepotism at its finest...She was awful...especially considering the amazing voices that have been sent away this year."

Camila, 14, is the youngest contender to audition, and it has been discovered that her father is Juan Pablo from 'The Bachelor'! Katy asks Juan why he wants to plunge his daughter into the TV life after seeing how difficult it was on 'The Bachelor,' and he responds that it's what she truly desires.

The judges agreed that Camila struggled with high notes, although her voice is "very listenable." Lionel says no to Camila, but advises her to "take your time and develop it."

Katy says yes, leaving everything up to Luke. Luke stated that he placed no on his page but changed his mind to yes since she had a "radio tone."

Lionel informs Juan Pablo: "Dad, you're going to Hollywood again."

Who is Camila Galavis on 'American Idol' Season 22?

Camila is the daughter of Juan and his ex-girlfriend, Venezuelan actress Carla Rodríguez. She was born on February 14, 2009; hence, she was 14 years old when she auditioned for 'American Idol' and 15 years old when her audition aired in March 2024.

The teenager, who resides in Florida, aspires to be a singer. Despite never marrying, her parents have maintained a tight and friendly co-parenting relationship since their separation in 2010.

"[They] are co-parents and have a great relationship," Us Weekly previously claimed. "[Carla] comes to some of Juan Pablo’s family functions with Camila."

Camila appears to be close to both of her parents, based on her social media presence. She has two Instagram accounts: public (@camila_galavis) and private (@galavispriv).

Music runs in Camila's blood, since Juan Pablo began working with recording artist Daniel Morales, also known as Danny Moon, in 2016. The former reality television star contributed to the success of Daniel's popular song "Me Rehúso," which resulted in a huge record label deal.

Although Juan Pablo did not discover long-term love on the show, he started dating Osmariel Villalobos, a Venezuelan model and television personality, in 2016. They married in August 2017.

However, the couple separated in 2019 after less than two years of marriage. When Clare, Juan Pablo's runner-up on 'The Bachelor', was announced as the star of 'The Bachelorette' in 2020, he turned to social media to trash the trailer for her season.

The teaser was set to Aretha Franklin's "Respect," which referenced Clare telling Juan Pablo that she wanted "respect" from him during their memorable breakup scene. "Interesting PROMO of @Clare_Crawley and the season of @BacheloretteABC, 6 years LATER and I know WHO is the Juan that can’t get OVER Juan," he posted at the time.
