LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 contestant Jeet Kaur Sawant hails from Portland, Oregon. By profession, she works as a Senior Global Talent Delivery and Ops Specialist at Columbia Sportswear Company. With a deep-seated passion for cooking, Jeet aims to impress judges.

Jeet frequently showcases her culinary prowess on social media, sharing various recipes and cooking tips on her food blog. During her stint on the Fox show, she was accompanied by her husband, Ojas Dileep Sawant. Jeet participated in the competition representing the Millennial generation.

Jeet took inspiration from her Indian heritage for her dish, opting to create dumplings with two unique twists. Instead of traditional fillings, she chose to use 'gajar ka halwa,' a popular Indian dessert. However, guest judge Priya Krishna expressed uncertainty about the risk of her choice, suggesting that it might be too sweet and potentially overpower the dish's flavor profile.

Jeet reassured Priya that the addition of 'rabri sauce' would help balance the sweetness of her crispy rice paper dumplings. To give her dish a modern Millennial twist, the Fox cooking show contestant opted to air-fry the dumplings, adding a crispy texture to the final presentation.

Joe Bastianich saves Jeet Kaur Sawant from elimination

'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 contestants' dishes were evaluated based on flavor, technique, and plating. With 45 minutes to prepare their signature dishes for a chance to earn the coveted apron, Jeet Kaur Sawant's crispy rice paper dumplings impressed three of the judges which was enough to advance her to the next round.

After tasting Jeet's dish, Gordon Ramsay said, "The dumplings are delicious" and gave her a yes. He told Priya Krishna, "It's not as sweet you thought it was gonna be. So it's a celebration and I think more than anything." Priya noted, "This is awesome" and this is a yes. Meanwhile, Aaron claimed that the dumpling wrapper was too gummy and told Jeet it was a no.

However, Joe Bastianich was only left to share his feedback and his yes saved Jeet from elimination. Joe was highly impressed by her dish and noted that the dumplings were delicious.

Guest judge Priya Krishna reflects on 'MasterChef: Generations'

'MasterChef: Generations' season 14 guest judge Priya Krishna was excited to judge the tasty dishes. However, in a recent interview, Priya reflected on contestants' mistakes during the competition. She shared, "I feel like the biggest mistake I saw was people putting things on a plate that they thought we would like rather than just putting themselves on a plate."

She added, "I feel like oftentimes people are like, 'Oh, the judges will love this' or they're trying to be super fancy for the sake of being fancy, but we just want food that tastes good and represents who you are." The Fox show judge further noted, "And I think the dishes that I gravitated towards the most were the ones that really told an authentic story about the person."
