LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kamay Lafalaise notably earned a coveted spot in 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14 Top 20 with her Haitian dish during the audition. She received three yeses to advance to the next round but Joe Bastianich was quite unimpressed with Kamay's dish.

The Fox show contestant cooked Haitian Snapper with Jasmine Rice & Peas, Spicy Tomato Sauce and Pickled Cabbage 'Pikliz' as her signature dish. Joe gave a no to the Fox show contestant and criticized the salinity of the dish. The Fox show judge claimed that the problem with the dish was that it lacked salt throughout the entire dish.

Joe explained, "Salt is an amplifier for the food." He added, "So I'm sorry. For me, it's a no." Kamay broke down in tears after Joe's criticism but she appreciated the feedback. Despite, Joe's no, the other judges, Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez and Priya Krishna advanced the contestant to the next exciting round of the cooking competition.

Gordon noted that Kamay's dish looked simple, but the fish was cooked beautifully. Aarón called it "so delicious" and suggested it was "loaded with flavor." Priya loved the sauce and the depth of flavor. Gordon said he wished the dish was more elevated, but he ultimately gave Kamay the third YES she needed for a white apron.
