'Pluribus' Soundtrack: Complete guide to all the songs in Apple TV's chilling show
'Pluribus' doesn't just paint a dystopian landscape in the form of a post-apocalyptic Albuquerque; it provides the perfect melodies that go with it. Creator Vince Gilligan of 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul' fame is very particular about the kind of music that accompanies Carol Sturka's desperate attempts to restore the world to its previous state after it suddenly became way too optimistic. As the Apple TV+ show continues airing new episodes every Friday, the soundtrack of 'Pluribus' has garnered as much praise as the show's storytelling and cinematography.
'Pluribus' reunited Gilligan with his long-time collaborators, music supervisor Thomas Golubić and music composer Dave Porter. The trio had previously worked together on both of the pathbreaking AMC shows mentioned earlier. "Having collaborated with them now for nearly two decades," says Gilligan, "Dave Porter and Thomas Golubić continue to surprise and delight me. Their artistry increases each year, as does their enthusiasm. I can't imagine doing a show without them," as per BrooklynVegan.
The sci-fi show, starring Rhea Seehorn in the leading role, uses a mix of original compositions and musical recreations to suit the tone of each episode. The premiere episode consisted of the track 'Roadhouse Rendezvous' by Tom Davis. The second episode featured 'Sally's Tomato' by Jack Wilson, 'Destination Moon' by Dinah Washington, and 'Nobody Told Me' by Murat Evgin. The third episode of the Apple TV+ show consisted of the tracks 'Cogito' by Akusmi, 'The Sweetest Taboo' by Sade, and 'Sonnet' by DakhaBrakha. Moving on to episode four, 'Sumac' by Loris featured prominently, in addition to Christina Aguilera's 'Genie In A Bottle', John Lemke's 'Vessel' and Christopher Cross's 'Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)'.
The fifth episode contained 'Deo Gratias' by Johannes Ockeghem and 'Blues' by Nina Becker. The sixth episode had 'Experiment In Terror – Twist' by Henry Mancini, 'Aux Quatre Coins De Mon Coeur by Jacqueline Boyer, and 'Nice 'N' Easy' by Peggy Lee in the soundtrack, as confirmed by NME. Gilligan had further noted that the scale and scope of 'Pluribus' was grander than what he was accustomed to on 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul'. The BAFTA-winning creator remarked, "When we started talking about Pluribus, we knew it would have a global scope, but how could we express that musically? Apple TV, God bless them, encouraged us to take bigger swings than we'd ever taken before. For the first time, Dave was able to have his compositions performed by a symphony orchestra and full choir. And Thomas was able to commission the creation of songs by artists all over the world."
Gilligan added, "What a step up that is from only being able to license existing recordings! Apple and Sony’s generosity has been put to magnificent use. I couldn’t be more impressed by Dave’s and Thomas' efforts this season. It may be their best work yet, and I'm excited for you to hear it." The eighth episode of the show is titled 'Charm Offensive' and airs on December 19, 2025, on Apple TV+.
