LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The internet is raging after global fashion brand Balenciaga released a disgusting ad campaign. The brand, known for its eccentric takes on fashion and art, took things too far after launching a new campaign that featured a “BDSM” theme that included children. When someone on Twitter seemed to have noted the brand’s “pedophilic-like” campaign, the internet soon spiraled into a frenzy.

The campaign featured children holding stuffed teddy bears posing in front of wine glasses. The toys were clad in leather “bondage wear", and according to many observers, the children also seemed to have a somewhat “scared expression” on their faces. The photoshoot also included a “poorly hidden” document about “virtual child porn". After many netizens slammed the fashion label for its campaign, Balenciaga released a somewhat “half-hearted” apology. And while people are not happy with the response, many have started pointing fingers at the celebrities associated with Balenciaga who endorse the high-end brand regularly. Balenciaga has some of the most glamorous names on its roster of ambassadors, including Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber, and Bella Hadid.

Many of thesenoting celebs are known to openly express their opinions about socio-political matters on their social media pages and consider themselves advocates of social justice. So their silence on this issue has definitely left fans questioning their motives. Fans on Twitter have demanded that these celebs speak out, as one person wrote, “Where are the moral outrage? Where are the celebrities condemning this? Balenciaga wants to “shock and delight” but this is not it. @KimKardashian @kanyewest @TheView @DUALIPA #NicoleKidman #BellaHadid @NaomiCampbell @KrisJenner.”

Another expressed anger and penned, “#balenciaga should be ASHAMED of themselves and all those who represent them! Like @KimKardashian and Bella Hadid!!” One person called out model Bella Hadid, writing, “Interesting how Bella Hadid loves to play the activist but hasn’t said a word about the Balenciaga incident. I’m sorry but what..??? Girl where are you, speak tf up.”

While one stated that these celebs should terminate their contracts with the brand, stating, “I’m starting a thread of celebrities linked to #Balenciaga. Given their latest ad campaign, they would be wise to sever all ties with the brand so, to start Nicole Kidman and Bella Hadid.” Someone also decided to cancel Dua Lipa and wrote, “#NO kiddie p**n #NO Balenciaga If Balenciaga will always dress dua, #NO Dua Cancel Balenciaga WHO do you stand with?” And another slammed ‘Euphoria’ star Alexa Demie, writing, “Not shocking AT ALL that Alexa Demie is one of the new Balenciaga IT girls... after her performance in Mid90s. She’ll do anything for fame! Hasn’t said a word about Balenciaga and won’t.” And a netizen pointedly noted, “Gabriella Karefa Johnson? Gigi Hadid? Hailey Bieber? Bella Hadid? Aiyana Ishmael? SPEAK THE F**K OUT. Had so much to say about Ye. SAY SOME S**T ABOUT BALENCIAGA.” And a fan questioned Kim Kardashian, noting, “I wonder if celebrities like Kim Kardashian, who is a mom that wears Balenciaga often, will condemn this disgusting campaign…”
