Taylor Sheridan has established himself as a dominating force in the landscape of contemporary television. The popular showrunner began his success story with 'Yellowstone', starring Kevin Costner, which became a major phenomenon and gave rise to several spinoffs such as '1883,' '1923,' and 'Marshals'. Although many of these shows co-exist in the same universe and often feel like extensions of the original show, there's one series that maintains a distinct footprint of its own. 'Landman', created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, debuted on Paramount+ on November 17, 2024, and since then, it has delivered two riveting and engaging seasons, led by Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton).

Being a shrewd petroleum landman working for M-Tex, Norris went through his fair share of obstacles in the show's debut season, following the sudden death of the firm's owner. However, the second season, which premiered on November 16, 2025, pushed Norris's struggles. He had to contend with excruciating pressure from all sides, including from his previous ally Cami Miller (Demi Moore). The sophomore season ended its initial broadcast run with the finale airing on January 18, 2026, and is now up for a wider digital release, along with bonus content that will give fans a deeper look into the worldbuilding and the minutiae that went into creating the dark and gritty show.

As of this writing, the sophomore season of 'Landman' is available for digital viewing from Paramount Home Entertainment and includes two brand-new featurettes. The first featurette is titled 'Going Deeper: Inside Landman Season 2' and runs up to twenty-eight minutes. The featurette provides an intimate look into the psyche of Norris's character, and also consists of interviews with the entire cast and crew as they discuss the repercussions of power, tragedy, family, and the consequences of ever-changing relationships in great detail. Fans of the show are bound to be intrigued by the underlying ideas that went into the show's development and ultimately unfolded on the screen.

The second featurette is titled 'Finding Character in Clothing,' and its duration is a little over eight minutes. This piece focuses primarily on Janie Bryant, who worked as the costume designer on the show and speaks at length about her choice of wardrobe and how it went on to shape character arcs and performances. The two featurettes are also available on select platforms. 'Landman' is based on the 'Boomtown' podcasts by Wallace, and also stars Sam Elliot, Ali Larter, Andy Garcia, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Jacob Lofland, James Jordan, Colm Feore, and Mark Collie. All episodes of 'Landman' are available for streaming on Paramount+.
