SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA: 'The Challenge: All Stars' Season player Janelle Casanave has been living in California with her husband and kids. Janelle is all set to appear in the latest season of 'All Stars' but has been rumoured to quit following an argument with co-player, Ayanna Mackins.
The MTV show star has starred in multiple spin-offs of 'The Challenge'. Additionally, she won 'The Inferno 3' during the 14th season of 'The Challenge' in 2007. Janelle has been thriving in both her professional and personal life after she got married to Kinji Green in 2015 and welcomed two kids.
Besides being a reality star, Janelle also pursued a career as a surgical nurse and a sex education educator and recently published a book 'Serval and the Beautiful Dark'. However, Janelle returned to the MTV show but seemingly didn't compete for long.
According to the spoiler, Janelle allegedly self-eliminated around the beginning of the competition after an explosive feud with Ayanna. However, the season likely won't feature the arguments. Ayanna was reportedly involved in racially and politically charged arguments with Janelle, veteran Brandon Nelson, couple Kam Williams and Leroy Garrett. Janelle chose to stay away from the further drama and removed herself from the competition.
Janelle Casanave returns to 'The Challenge' amid back injury
Janelle Casanave faced a serious back injury during 'The Challenge: All Stars' Season 2 and was unsure about her future in the MTV show. During the previous season, Janelle was paired with four-time champ Darrell Taylor for most of the competition.
However, she hurt her back by jumping into the water during a challenge. Sadly, the strongest team faced elimination right before the finals. Following the finale, Janelle responded to a fan's question about her future in her Instagram Story. She admitted she wasn't 'sure' due to production mishandlings toward the end that "never sat right with me."
However, Janelle finally recovered from the injury and made a comeback. She shared her cast photo and captioned, "Just when I thought I was over these challenges."
'The Challenge' star Ayanna Mackins diagnosed with breast cancer
'The Challenge' star Ayanna Mackins has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Ayanna shared her struggles through the GoFundMe page and revealed that she was diagnosed with metastatic invasive ductal carcinoma in October 2023 following a mammogram and subsequent biopsy.
The MTV star also did genetic testing and learned that she was "a carrier of a Palb2 mutation on my BRCA gene," which she explained increases a person's breast and ovarian cancer risk. The reality star detailed the challenges and mounting expenses she had been facing amid her cancer treatment, which included chemotherapy and surgery followed by radiation.
'The Challenge: All Stars' Season 4 to premiere on Wednesday, April 10 on Paramount+.
