GRENADA, CARIBBEAN: Bravo's 'Below Deck' Season 11 is all set to air on February 5, 2024 at 9 pm ET. However, at Bravocon 2023, it was announced that Captain Lee Rosbach would not be a part of 'Below Deck' Season 11.
He also stated that not being a part of the 'Below Deck' franchise did not mean that he was quitting television. He aims to still be in showbiz.
The viewers of the Bravo show weren't quite surprised when the Captain's departure was announced. Captain Lee was battling health issues during 'Below Deck' Season 10. He left the boat mid-season because of a nerve issue.
Captain Sandy Yawn replaced him in Season 10. Captain Lee has been on the franchise for 10 years and it will not be easy for viewers to watch the show without him. He was the sassiest captain and ran the ship in his unique way. His one-liners such as 'take no crap' and 'madder than a pissed-on chicken' can never be forgotten.
In an interview with Sun Sentinel, Captain Lee Rosbach stated, "I did not retire. I did not quit", when asked about his exit from 'Below Deck'.
He mentioned that he was not invited back to the show. However, he understood the maker's point of view as his health might deteriorate mid-season as it happened in Season 10. Captain Lee also stated that he is still under the contract of Bravo and hinted at coming back for another season.

Captain Lee Rosbach revealed that he did not 'quit' the 'Below Deck' series. The Michigan native stated that the doctors cannot diagnose his current ailment beyond a nerve issue.
Ever since Captain Lee had a bad fall in 2020, he suffered mobility issues. In Season 8, he fell in the shower and hurt his ribs. Even though he returned to the show after initial treatment, he admitted that breathing, yawning, and coughing caused him discomfort in the chest.
The 73-year-old even had to leave Season 10 midway due to this condition. He underwent back surgery in December 2021 and hence had to use a cane to support himself in the premiere episode of Season 10. The Bravo showmakers thus, did not approach Captain Lee for Season 11 and instead, Captain Kerry Titheradge was roped in for the role.

In the sneak peek, we see Kerry having a hard time managing crises, hookups, and maintaining demanding guests. The 'Below Deck' drama is all set to entertain the viewers. We also see Kerry Titheradge stating that the easiest part in being a captain is driving the yacht, and the hardest part is the crew. It would be fascinating to see whether Captain Kerry is as capable as Captain Lee or would he fail to do so.
