Rachel Hargrove, this season's charter's new chef is bringing up some painful memories for Captain Lee Rosbach. The feisty chef is notorious for turning into a monster when she's drunk. Although Rachel is an exceptionally good chef, who managed to earn a hefty tip of $25,000 after she managed to wow the charter guests with her 60-plate dinner, yet neither the captain nor her co-workers are completely sold on the chef and her erratic behavior.

On the latest episode of 'Below Deck', the chef was shown drunk out of her mind. While she was intoxicated, she not only embarrassed everyone with her tone-deaf singing but also took it upon herself to question the charter's stewardess Elizabeth Frankini's decision to hook up with her fellow co-worker James Hough. Rachel repeatedly kept badmouthing James right in front of him, while everybody was out for dinner. Although Elizabeth tried her best to get Rachel to stop humiliating James and her relationship, the chef wasn't willing to back down.

James finally got annoyed and threatened to never do any of the dishes for Rachel. The chef seemed unperturbed and continued with her insults. Finally, the next morning after her alcohol wore off, the chef needed help from her co-workers with carrying the groceries back to the deck. But nobody was willing to help her out. Captain Lee noticed that and called the chief stewardess Francesca Rubini to ask her what was going on. She then mentioned Rachel's drinking problem, and how she turns into a monster when drunk.

This immediately hits a nerve with the captain and he got emotional. He then pointed out to Francesca how Rachel is a really good chef but was wasting away all her talent due to her drinking problem. He then shared how he once knew another person like that — his younger son, Joshua Rosbach. Captain Lee tells Francesca that he lost his son a year ago to addiction and that watching Rachel drinking reminded him of that.
