LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: With Nia Skyfer joining Team Legend, the blind auditions for 'The Voice' Season 22 came to a conclusion. After the successful completing of the blind auditions, the coaches have yet another challenge before them- the battles round.
With the help of celebrity battle advisors, the coaches- Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Camila Cabello, will be mentoring their new teams. After the mentoring session, the team members will have to battle out their fellow team members and gain their coach's vote to continue their stint on the show! The previous episode 7 concluded with Team Blake's Austin Montgomery and Tanner Fussell battling it out for Blake's vote. The episode ended with a cliffhanger of who Blake picked as his winner! During the battles round, the coaches dedicate themselves to developing their team of artists, giving them advice and sharing the secrets of their success, along with help from their battle advisors. During the battle Rounds, the coaches will pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together. The artists are vying for their coach's confidence and decision to take them to the next round. After each battle, the coach picks a winner who they believe will help them win the season's trophy. While the winning artist will advance to the knockouts round, the loading artist will be sent home if he/she fails to secure either a save or steal from any of the coaches.
Each coach will have one save and one steal in the battle rounds. The losing artist can be saved by their own coach, but with the steals still in play, the artist could potentially choose to go with a different coach, leading to even tougher decisions for the coaches and artists.
