Why did Blake Shelton not turn for Dia Malai? 'The Voice' coach regrets not turning for a 'star'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: With all the coaches' teams almost at capacity, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Camila Cabello, were left with no choice but to be extra picky when it comes to adding the last set of artists on their team. This overtly cautious approach left the coaches with a buyers remorse of sorts. Blake Shelton experienced it first hand when he held off from turning his chair for Dia Malai.
26-year-old Dia from Queens, New York, picked Mary J. Blige's 'Real Love' for her blind audition performance. The songstress was barely a few notes into her performance when John decided to turn for her. Although the other coaches commented amongst themselves that she sounded great, they couldn't bring themselves to turn for her as they were being very picky about the final few additions on their teams.
