'How can you be a professional musician?': 'The Voice' fans shocked Camila Cabello unaware of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' fans were left feeling shocked with new coach Camila Cabello after watching the recently aired episode of the NBC singing competition show. Upon the successful completion of the blind auditions round, the NBC show moved on to the highly anticipated battles round. OG Coach Blake Shelton kicked off the battles round by picking two of his team members to compete against each other.
For the battles round performance, Blake chose Johnny Cash's iconic 'Folsom Prison Blues'. After receiving a good round of mentoring sessions by Jimmie Allen and Blake, Austin Montgomery and Tanner Fussell, stepped onto the stage and began their battle round performance. While John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Blake were busy enjoying the song, Camila began looking around puzzled asking her fellow coaches about the song that was being performed. When Gwen explained that it was Johnny Cash's song, the 'Havana' singer still had no clue.

Though Camila enjoyed the johnny Cash track despite never having heard of it, fans were far from impressed with her. Several fans took to the show's YouTube clip of the performance to slam the coach's ignorance. A fan commented, "How does Camila not know Folsom Prison Blues? This is a classic anthem." "How can you be a professional musician, a coach on the voice, and not know Johnny Cash? Shame on her," declared a fan. "Camilla doesn't even know the song ... smh Great song very strange version .. I would have preferred a serious version .. than this kind of parody feel it had .. all that said the vocals were great, I think the Austin with the clean voice has a lot more potential. I would choose Austin .. he has a great voice for Country Radio .. Tanner may have also, but for now this is all we have to go on. Together they could do well also .. their two styles mixed bring a great package, the harmonies were excellent," added a fan. "Camilla isn’t familiar w this song bruh," noted a fan.
This isn't the first time that Camila was clueless about an iconic singer. In an earlier episode, Camila admitted to never having heard of Jewel, leaving her fellow coaches and fans stunned.
