At the moment, 'Ginny & Georgia' Season 4 is officially in the works, and the makers of the hit Netflix family drama are finally disclosing what fans can expect from the forthcoming installment of the show. While the release schedule of the third season was affected by the Hollywood Strikes of 2023, that won’t be the case with season 4, which is currently in active development. In a recent interview with Popternative, 'Ginny & Georgia' showrunner Sarah Lampert unveiled some interesting details about the show's upcoming season, including the script, interesting plot twists, and much-needed clarity on who the father of Georgia's unborn child is.

As per What’s on Netflix, while shedding light on the writing process, Lampert said, "I'm halfway through the writer's room with the writers right now. I'm doing this, and I should be in the writer's room right now." It has been reported that the cast will kickstart filming this summer and wrap the shoot by February 2026. The finale of 'Ginny & Georgia' Season 3 left viewers with numerous cliffhangers, including Georgia's surprise pregnancy, Ginny finding out about her mother's past, and the fallout from Georgia's earlier arrest. Following the finale, one of the most debated topics was the identity of the father of Georgia's child. During the interview, Lampert shared that she knows the identity of Georgia's baby daddy, but did not disclose it.

When asked to share her thoughts on the cliffhangers from a writing-creating perspective, Lampert said, "I think the show is full throttle and it's a little bit brave in the sense that it breaks a lot of the rules of how you're supposed to write a script frankly or tell a story for TV and each season changes a lot which keeps my executives on toes a little because they're like 'okay, great.' And I'm like, we're changing again. Like now we're doing something different. When you have a cliffhanger like that, it really forces you to change your story really because it's like you have to pay it off, and they are big life-changing cliffhangers that are going to change the world of the characters. Like Ginny finding out her mom is a murderer changes that world for that character. Georgia's pregnancy that changes everything for her."

Speaking of season 4, Lampert said, "We're going to really talk about all the commentary and reactions to season 3 because I'm like all over, like I'll read the Twitter, I'll read the Reddit, I'll look at the TikToks. I love them. I think it makes my work better. It makes me think deeper about things, so we're going to bring that into the writers' room." According to Netflix, the stars returning for 'Ginny & Georgia' Season 4 include Brianne Howey, Antonia Gentry, Diesel La Torraca, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Scott Porter, Jennifer Robertson, Raymond Ablack, Katie Douglas, Chelsea Clark, and Nathan Mitchell. On the other hand, newcomers joining the cast include Ali Skovbye, Kataem O’Connor, and Sunny Mabrey. 'Ginny & Georgia' Season 4 is expected to be released in mid-to-late 2026.
