When is Chanyeol being discharged from military? EXO star wants to meet fans on Live in September

Chanyeol becomes the third EXO member to complete his mandatory military service in 2022

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: EXO-Ls rejoice because EXO’s military era is about to end much sooner than expected. Despite having eight eligible members, we only have two more years left for all of the members to finish their mandatory military enlistment. Xiumin was the first EXO member to enlist in May 2019 with youngest members Kai and Sehun set to enlist by the end of 2022. In the meantime, those who are in the military at the moment are already halfway done with their service as seen in the case of Chanyeol and Baekhyun. 

Baekhyun was the latest member to enlist in May 2021 and will be back by February 2023. And while we wait for his military service to get over, we are getting another EXO member back this year itself. 2022 was a good year as leader Suho and Chen came back to us. Chanyeol becomes the third EXO member to return this year as well. He had enlisted on March 29, 2021 and his tentative return date was September 2022. Well, on August 26, Chanyeol himself confirmed his return, promising a livestream for fans.

EXO’s Chanyeol to return in September

EXO-Ls love Chanyeol’s vlogging channel Studio NNG on YouTube where he used to upload all sorts of content. While in the military, he was active as well as he had been doing extracurricular activities like acting in a musical which is why fans got to see more of him. The EXO star also used to update his social media whenever he got a leave from the military. Well, on August 26, we got a notice video on his YouTube channel which consisted of a montage of the vlog he had done before he enlisted in the military.

At the end of the video, we see the date September 29, 2022 and “Let’s meet through a Live.” Well, it looks like EXO’s Chanyeol confirmed his discharge date as well as his first interaction with fans that will take place on September 29. The Live will happen on his YouTube channel Studio NNG. 

‘Can’t wait’

EXO-Ls trended Chanyeol as they eagerly wait for him. One fan tweeted, “Chanyeol said "nanugi"(?) and made 2 and 9 with his fingers 🥹🥹🥹 So he actually spoiled the notice today. Haha! Can't wait for Sept 29.” Another said, “Chanyeol will be discharged from the military next month!!!” One EXO-L joked, “Me, the whole 29th september cuz he didn't mention at what time.” Another found it funny that he did not wait for his label to confirm his return, “Chanyeol being one step ahead from sm, LIKE ALWAYS.” One fan asked, “An instagram live with chanyeol trying out stupid insta filters and being the happiest puppy ever plsss.” Another EXO-L wrote, “PARK CHANYEOL MILITARY ERA, YOU WILL BE MISSED.”
