'EXO leave SM': Fans claim mistreatment over poor setlist and Sehun missing Suwon concert

The SMTOWN Live concert at Suwon has made EXO fans upset as there are no group performances, Sehun is at home while the rest of them get only one song

SUWON, SOUTH KOREA: While EXO is almost on the verge of getting over their military hiatus era, we still haven’t got many group activities. And while EXO-Ls had thought that they had hit the jackpot with the SMTOWN Live Suwon concert, that doesn’t seem to be the case as new developments have everyone claiming mistreatment. Even though six of nine members are currently active, we are not getting group performances. Instead, five of the members will be performing individually while Sehun is missing the concert altogether.

Fans rejoiced as Chen had become the latest EXO member to be discharged from his mandatory military service. But apart from Kai, Chen, and Suho getting overseas schedules, the rest of the active EXO members are barely in the spotlight. Fans who attended the soundcheck of the Suwon concert on August 19, noticed that while other SM artists got an extensive set, EXO’s setlist was comparatively less exciting. Fans also further investigated and are claiming that Sehun is actually just at home as Suho had shared he was living at the EXO dorm currently.

Sehun misses the Suwon concert while EXO gets short airtime

When the Suwon lineup was first announced, disappointed fans had not protested much as they felt Sehun was busy with solo schedules because of which he could not make it. But with Suho’s latest revelation, EXO-Ls are upset. They were further frustrated as Sehun came online to apologize as he said, “I really wanted to meet you all today and it’s a pity that I can’t see you.”

EXO-Ls also went through the Suwon setlist and realized that all of the EXO members were only given one song to perform which wasn’t the case for the other SM artists with NCT members getting 13 tracks to perform. They also found it weird that DO was not allowed to sing his solo debut song but an SM Station song.

'EXO deserved better'

Even the SMRookies were allowed to perform despite not debuting. Many EXO-Ls also found it odd as to why EXO was not performing as a group. One fan tweeted, “A 5 hours concert and we gonna see our boys for 4 minutes each.. also no group performance for the company biggest group…” Another EXO-L commented, “Not letting sehun perform Not letting kyungsoo sing his debut album songs Not letting exo member perform more than one song Not letting exo to perform as a group EXO LEAVE SM."

One fan asked, “HOW COME THE ROOKIES ARE ATTENDING AND PERFORMING AT THE SMTOWN SUWON CONCERT BUT NOT SEHUN????” Another couldn’t understand the organization, “90 MINUTES OF DJ-ING!!! 90 MINUTES!!! ON ME WAS 2 MINUTES AT BEST SUHO SAID SEHUN IS IN THE DORM!!! KYUNGSOO HAS A WHOLE ALBUM AND THEY MADE HIM SING A STATION SONG!!!!” One was angry, “Y’all keep saying sehun has so many errands that’s why sm didn’t let him perform in smtown concert today? F**K. THAT’S NONSENSE. SEHUN IS LITERALLY STAYING IN EXO DORM RIGHT NOW!!!!”

Another was blunt, “They’ve always been unfair with exo, and I’m tired of this putas company, I really hate them so much exo deserved better f**k you @SMTOWNGLOBAL REMEMBER EXO MADE YOUR COMPANY, WITHOUT EXO YOU ARE NOTHING.” One EXO-L found it odd that another artist would be performing EXO’s ‘Monster’, “The worst thing is THEY ARE MAKING ANOTHER GROUP SING MONSTER WHEN EXO IS RIGHT THERE!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU SM!!!”
