As per the synopsis released by HGTV, the format of the show is that house designers have to renovate houses with their signature style within a stipulated time and budget. For the first time in the show's history, four teams will get a shot at redemption.

All the teams are made up of previous competitors, thus the competition seems much more and they are heading toward the beach this time. Previously, the seasons have featured homes in South Carolina, Colorado, California, and Georgia.

'Rock The Block' Season 5 is shot in Treasure Island, Florida. Even though the competition calls for loads of physical work with mental exhaustion caused by time and financial barriers, home renovators participate in the show to get fame.

What is 'Rock The Block' Season 5 all about?

Since most of the talented contestants from the previous seasons will be competing in pairs, this season's HGTV competition is fierce. The contestants are introduced in pairs of two by presenter Ty Pennington, a carpenter, craftsman, and design entrepreneur, at the start of the trailer.

Four pairs are presented to us, including Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davi, Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, and Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas. The scene is set in the stunning setting of Treasure Island where the competitors come face to face in renovating waterfront properties of the Florida location.
