LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' season 21 auditions have officially come to an end. Viewers have been treated with six exciting and emotional rounds of auditions conducted across Nashville, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and many other states. Multiple aspiring singers took the stage of the ABC network singing competition to take their shot at becoming the next singing sensation.

However, only a few got the golden ticket to Hollywood. The talented contestants who advanced to Hollywood Week have already wowed the judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan. But are the contestants ready to compete against one another? Get ready to witness more drama and pressure as the real competition begins now! 'American Idol' Season 21 Episode 7 will premiere on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 8 pm PT/ET. The upcoming episode promises an exciting and thrilling ride of entertainment.

What to expect from 'American Idol' Season 21 Episode 7?

'American Idol' season 21 will get more intense in the first Hollywood week. The contestants will take the stage to compete to advance to the next round. 'American Idol' alumni will return as mentors to build confidence, stage presence, and songwriting as they gear up to serenade judges in Hollywood Week. Each aspiring singer will task to identify who they are as an artist. They will first have to deliver their solo performance followed by choosing from the indie-folk, pop, rock, R&B, soul, and country groups. Further, the talented singers will choose a song to perform head-to-head to save themselves from elimination. Meanwhile, all three platinum ticket holders Tyson Venegas, Kaylin Hedges, and Cam Amen don't have to jump into the field at all or feel the pressure of facing elimination in the first week itself.

Meet 'American Idol' Season 21 Golden Ticket winners

'American Idol' season 21 contestants, who got the golden and platinum tickets, will compete to advance to the next round. Read to know who all have advanced to Hollywood Week.

Haven Madison: Haven Madison, stunned the 'American Idol' judges with her original song 'Fifteen'. She was accompanied by her father Jason Roy, who is 'Building 429' lead vocalist. Haven's impressive vocals eventually received three yeses and a golden ticket to Hollywood. The aspiring singer is a high school student from Clarksville, Tennessee, and has grown up on a tour bus, traveling to multiple destinations since she was two.

Lucy Love: Lucy Love, a single mother of two, hails from Holly Grove, Arkansas. She gets a second chance and wins a golden ticket. She sang 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', a song by Marvin Gaye but she failed to impress the judges. Richie and Perry gave a second golden chance to Lucy to sing and asked for another song for her children Noah and Nia. Lucy sang 'Listen to the Melody' and blew away the trio of judges.

Colin Stough: Colin is an 18-year-old resident of Gattman, Mississippi. He lives with his mother and stepfather after his biological father abandoned him for drugs and alcohol. Colin uses singing and working with horses to cope with his emotions. 

Lyric Medeiros: Lyric, the daughter of pop singer Glenn Medeiros, has a passion for country songs. She auditioned with 'Love Me Like You Mean It' by Kelsea Ballerini.

Zachariah Smith: Zachariah is a passionate singer who works at the family-owned restaurant 'Bill's Hamburgers,' which has been passed down for over 75 years. He performed 'Hurts So Good' and instantly impressed all three judges.

lam Tongi: lam performed 'Monsters' by James Blunt, stood out with his vocals. He is a resident of Seattle whose father Rodney passed away just months before this audition. He revealed during the auditions that his father was the person who taught Iam about music.

Michael Williams: 'The Voice' season 18 alum Michael stunned Richie and Perry and Bryan with his vocals. Notably, Katy was seemingly smitten by Michael and compared him with Shawn Mendes and Harry Styles. Katy also said that he is a top 10 material. But how far Michael goes will be revealed in the upcoming rounds.

Megan Danielle: Megan got an unforgettable surprise as former Idol Lauren Daigle joined the stage to sing with her. Danielle stood stunned with the judges left in deep shock before Megan and Danielle share a warm hug. Megan got the golden ticket to Hollywood with Daigle's 2018 hit 'You Say'.

Kya Monee: Kya paid a moving tribute to her former duet partner and fellow Idol alum Willie Spence. She delivered a powerful rendition of 'I'm Here' and advanced to Hollywood in 'American Idol' season 21 week 3 auditions.

Caroline Kole: Caroline, a 25 years old singer who lives in Nashville for 10 years, performs 'Firework'. However, Perry was left unimpressed in the beginning but she loved her vocals when Caroline picked the chorus. Notably, Katy started singing with Caroline and told her that she could reach the Top 20.

Jon Wayne Hatfield: Jon dedicated his performance to his grandfather who recently came out as gay. He received a standing ovation from the judges for his impressive vocals.

Ashley Tankard: Ashley auditioned for 'American Idol' season 21 after 14 tries. She performed 'You Broke Me First' by Tate McRae and Perry said she needs to work on her vocals. However, after the back and forth between judges, Ashley managed to get the golden ticket.

Matt Wilson:  Matt performed with his smooth R&B voice. The daycare teacher, who aspires to be a singer, left the judges impressed and received a standing ovation. 

Aiden Adair: Aiden works at a pizza shop and stood out with his performance of 'Break My Heart Again' by FINNEAS.

McKayla Stacey: Phil Stacey's daughter, McKayla followed her dad's footsteps and performed 'She Used to Be Mine' by Sara Bareille. Perry and Richie found her voice great but Bryan gave no to her. Still, McKayla is heading to Hollywood!

Alessandra Aguirre: Alessandra wrote her first song in a small room with just a guitar and six chords and brings her raw talent in the second week of the audition round. 

Stefan Benz: Stefan is already a sensation as he has released multiple songs and walked the red carpet for numerous award shows including Grammy Awards 2023. Stefan is not ready to compete in Hollywood week.

Nutsa: Nutsa is ready to live her dream of living in Hollywood. She performed 'Lady Marmalade' by LaBelle but didn't able to satisfy the judges. But Perry thinks Nutsa can do much better if she gets a chance.

Trey Louis: Trey, a 21-year-old mattress salesman from Texas, burst into tears when the judges gave him a standing ovation. Trey is a survivor of a school shooting and he lost a lot of friends in the mass shooting.

Sara Beth: A young aspiring singer and mom to three kids decided to pursue her dreams. While Perry didn't impress with her at first, the other two judges loved her performance.

Tanner Charles: Singer-songwriter from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma dedicated his original song to his girlfriend.

Mikey Burson: Miley auditioned with 'Cold As Ice' by Foreigner and impressed Perry with his stunning locks.

Adin Boyer: Music teacher Adin's both parents are music artists and he had the perfect pitch. Bryan suggested that he needs to work on his vocals but they ultimately advanced him to the next round.

Wé Ani: Ani rose to prominence on Season 11 of 'The Voice' when she was just 17. She performed 'Anyone' by Demi Lovato

Marybeth Byrd: The radio host from Armorel, Arkansas received a compliment from Perry that she surely will reach the top 10. Marybeth performed 'If It Hadn’t Been for Love' by The Steeldrivers 

Bre: The aspiring singer and pianist from Burbank, California duets with Lionel on his song 'All Night Long.'

Olivia Soli: Olivia blew away the judges with her unique rendition of Lionel's classic hit 'Hello.'

Preston Duffee: The aspiring singer's mother committed suicide about two years ago after a battle with bipolar disorder. However, he revealed that music has saved his life. All three judges left impressed with Preston's vocals and songwriting abilities.

Emma Busse: Emma performed 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' by Elton John. But Bryan suggested that she has to work on her skills which she can learn in Hollywood.

Keelin: The singer performed 'Don’t Call Me'. Perry praised Keelin and said that she reminds her of Meghan Trainor and sees potential in her.

Elijah McCormick: Elijah is an ophthalmologist technician from Raeford, North Carolina. He impressed all three judges and even Brayn compares Elijah's approach to the late Willie Spence.

Danny Epp: The gymnastics coach performed Katy’s song, 'The One That Got Away'. The judges find his voice real and emotional and send him to Hollywood.

Amara Valerio: Amara stunned the judges with a video of her getting 'Kanye'd' at high school graduation, where some girl stole the mic from her while she was singing the 'Star Spangled Banner.'

Hannah Nicolaisen: Hannah performed 'Make You Feel My Love' by Bob Dylan. Bryan praised her and said 'You’re definitely born to sing.'

Reette Thorns: Rette impressed the judges with 'I Believe' by Fantasia. Soon after she finishes the song she immediately breaks down in tears, and Lionel responds with a warm hug. 

Tripp Taylor: Tripp performed “I Believe to My Soul” by Ray Charles and got the golden ticket with his great bluesy voice.

Colt Clover: Colt performed  “Rock Salt and Nails” by Flatt & Scruggs and immediately impressed the judges with his country twang. 

Cay Aliese: Cay performed an original called 'City of Nashville' which she wrote for her father. While the judges didn't completely like her performance, they gave her the golden ticket.

Mariah Faith: Perry identifies the 'natural cry' in her voice and calls Mariah 'a star.' Mariah also got a chance to perform with last year’s runner-up and winner, HunterGirl and Noah Thompson.

Nailyah Serenity: Nailyah credited her musical style and fashion sense to her mother, who stays by her side through each step of her journey. Se received a standing ovation from the judges.

Kayleigh Clark: Kayleigh is a farm girl who performed “The Dance” by Garth Brooks and convinced the judges to coach her.

Tori Green: Tori, a waitress from Corona, California, performed “Cry Pretty” by Carrie Underwood. Perry gushed that she has all the needed ingredients.

PJAE: The aspiring singer shared his weight loss journey and revealed he was bullied in his school. PJAE auditioned with “Mirror” by Madison Ryann Ward and got a standing ovation.

Warren Peay: Warren impressed the judges with “To the Table” by Zach Williams. He also played guitar as his voice cuts through the room. 

Ophrah Kablan: Ophrah got the golden ticket to Hollywood with “Baby, I Love You” by Aretha Franklin.

Kamron Lawson: Kamron mesmerized the judges with Take on Me” by a-ha and advanced to Hollywood.

Owen Eckhardt: Owen performed “Something in the Orange” by Zach Bryan and Perry compared him to legend Elvis Presley. 

Alessandra Aguirre: Alessandra performed Rihanna's hit ‘Love on the Brain’ and received praise from the judges. Though she got very less screen time, Alessandra advanced to Hollywood.

Stefan Benz: Stefan auditioned with 'One Last Cry' by Brian McKnight and received the golden ticket to Hollywood. Additionally, he taught Perry and Brya Afrikaans.

Jeverson Ramirez: Jeverson auditioned with Otis Redding’s soul hit ‘Try A Little Tenderness’ and wowed Perry, Bryan, and Richie. He is going to Hollywood!

Carina Deangelos: The businesswoman and singer Carina brought meatballs for the judges, but her powerful and energetic vocals wowed them more.

Johnny Knox: Johnny tried to win the judge's hearts with a homemade treat. Besides delicious sourdough bread, Johnny impressed judges with his chords.

Paige Anne: The aspiring singer performed ‘What About Us’ by P!nk and blew Bryan and Richie away with the second half of her performance.

Sarah Mac: Sarah performed gigs at restaurants and bars. But her angelic vocals took her to Hollywood Week.

Elise Kristine: Elise performed ‘Natural Woman’ and her vocals seem perfect. Katy praised the aspiring singer and called her an "incredible artist".

Jayna Elise: 'America’s Got Talent' Season 11 semi-finalist performed 'Who Wants to Live Forever' by Queen and won the golden ticket to Hollywood. She currently works at Brill Building publishing label.

Nate Peck: Nate auditioned with 'Lightnin Strikes Again!'. The aspiring singer is a fan of '80s rock and is currently fronting a band called Wanted.

Mikenley Brown: The pop, rock, and indie-ish artist performed 'Love on the Brain' by Rihanna and stunned the judges.

Isaac Brown: Isaac brings spice with his goofy character and energetic voice. He performed ‘Essence’ by Wizkid and advanced to Hollywood in Week 6.

Sierra Harris: Sierra has been trying to audition for ‘American Idol’ since she was 15. After many rejections, she finally won the golden ticket to Hollywood.

Phil Kane: Phil revealed during his auditions that he mostly wrote songs about dirt roads and girls. He performed his original song ‘Osage Country’ and received a standing ovation from the trio of judges.

Fire Wilmore: The 22-year-old single mother got a second chance to show her fire. She failed to impress Bryan and Richie during week 5 of the audition. But Perry gave her a second chance to prove her incredible talent. Fire performed 'Love in the Dark' by Adele' and won the golden ticket to Hollywood.

Kaya Stewart: Kaya, backed by her favorite musician and dad Dave, serenaded the judges with her soulful vocals. The rising star has already released multiple albums.

Oliver Steele: Oliver dedicated his intriguing performance to his dad Toby, who has been in a wheelchair after having a stroke. He performed his dad's favorite song 'Change the World' by Eric Clapton. The son of a blues guitarist advanced to Hollywood Week in the last round of auditions before getting a warm hug from Lionel for his emotional performance.

Kaeyra: Kaeyra performed ‘Cold’ by Chris Stapleton and immediately impressed the judges with her soulful vocals.

Meet 'American Idol' Season 21 Platinum Ticket winners

Kaylin Hedges: Kaylin, a 15-year-old from Pound Ridge, New York, auditioned with “I’m Already There” by Lonestar as a tribute to her dad and got the Platinum ticket.

Tyson Venegas: Tyson, a 17-year-old from Vancouver, British Columbia, earned the first of three platinum tickets. Tyson impressed the judges with a performance of “New York State of Mind” by Billy Joel.

Cam Amen: Cam performed a rendition of the classic 'Hallelujah' and wowed the judges. He received a standing ovation for his amazing performance. The aspiring singer had a rough past. During his auditions, Cam broke down, and Richie gave him a comforting hug. Notably, he skipped the elimination pressure in Hollywood Week as he earned a platinum ticket.

'American Idol' Season 21 Episode 7 will air on ABC on April 2, 2023.
