'American Idol' 2023: Johnny Knox wins over judges with sour-dough bread and raw singing talent
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 viewers witnessed some aspiring singers joining the stage with some delicious gifts. However, some singing sensations got a second golden chance to blow the judges on the ABC network show, others had to go home with the intention of trying again the following year.
Meanwhile, a few contestants showed off their raw singing talents with their cooking skills in front of judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. One of the greatest cooks among this season's contestants was Johnny Knox, a medical software salesman.

Johnny, the medical software salesman from Huntsville, performed his original song. Notably, the aspiring singer brought in sourdough bread for the judges to eat. Katy, Luke, and Lionel also enjoyed the bread. Besides his delicious bread, the judges were also impressed with Johnny's vocals and think that he can do much better with proper guidance. Katy gushed, "I think you're only going to get better." Lionel and Luke also agreed with Katy and gave Johnny a chance to explore more in Hollywood.

Johnny got three 'yes' from Katy, Luke, and Lionel. Johnny is going to Hollywood! Notably, Johnny revealed that he got the golden ticket to Hollywood on his birthday. The aspiring singer took to social media and wrote, "For my birthday today, I got a golden ticket… Would ya look at that! Thank you all for the birthday well wishes and encouragement on potentially being #TheNextIdol."
Meanwhile, Johnny has already created fans around the globe. Several 'Americal Idol' viewers commented on Johnny's post to congratulate him and wish him luck.
