NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: The Country singer Luke Bryan is reportedly considering ending his years-long run on the popular reality show, 'American Idol', after the next season wraps in order to fulfill his father and husband duties. If you are his ardent fan and enjoy him on the reality show then this might come as a shock.

A source close to the 'Roller Coaster' singer revealed that Bryan may decide to leave his judging position to garner more freedom to spend time with his loving wife, Caroline Boyer, 42, and their sons, 14-year-old Thomas and 12-year-old Tatum. "Luke sometimes flies all night to get back home to Nashville just to spend a few hours with his sons, but he realizes that's not enough," the insider told RadarOnline. Bryan has been handling the judging chair on the popular singing competition television series since 2018.

Fortunately, ‘American Idol' fans will be able to see Bryan on the small screen throughout the spring as he has already promised to serve as a judge on the show for another year. The 2023 season will definitely see Bryan returning as judge along with Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Talking about his future plans, the source also tipped that "Luke is looking at cutting back on his touring as well," noting the father said his "$150 million fortune isn't worth a hill of beans" if he misses out on his sons' milestones. Bryan exchanged vows with Boyer back in 2006 and welcomed Thomas in 2008 and Tatum in 2010. However, the crooner is yet to make an official statement on the reports.

The claims came just a few days after Bryan defended his decision to bring polarizing political figure Ron DeSantis on stage during a show in Jacksonville. The incident happened during a concert held by the singer to raise money for Hurricane Ian relief efforts for the embattled state. Defending his move, Bryan said his only intention was to help storm victims, including the families of the 132 confirmed dead as a result of the historic storm.

"'Here'sthe deal," Bryan wrote in an Instagram post. "I understand Governor DeSantis is a very polarizing figure. I grew up in a country where if a governor asks you if they can come and raise awareness to help victims of a natural disaster you help," he added. Bryan then noted, 'I've generally stayed out of politics throughout my career," before explaining the importance of donating to Floridians affected by the recent hurricane, citing how good they have been to him over the course of his career.
