LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Peacock is dropping a new musical drama for its spring slate. Lifetime and Hallmark have already started their spring release. 'Praise This', directed by Tina Gordon, is coming out on April 7, 2023, on the streamer. The movie stars Grammy-nominated singer Chloe Bailey as Sam in the lead.
With 'Praise This,' Baliey has another major creative milestone for the spring. Her debut solo album, 'In Pieces' will release at the same time as her movie. The Peacock movie also includes producer and rapper Quavo. 'Praise This' traces the story of Sam, whose music career seems to be taking off hugely. Hell-bent on getting into the music industry, she gets associated with some dangerous elements. Sam’s father sends her to Atlanta to be with relatives, where she finds herself on a praise team. What is the plot of 'Praise This'?
The official synopsis of the film follows an ambitious young musician named Sam, who is sent to live in Atlanta with her cousin for the summer. She soon joins her cousin's competitive youth gospel choir tea. She also manages to make inroads in Atlanta's music scene. What she discovers, though, is that ambition can command a high price and that praise is not about glory but gratitude.
