An Emmy-worthy performance

Dominique Fishback and Chloe Bailey discussed everything, from working with the creators to the sisterhood they share, during a recent interview with Discussing Film. Dominique Fishback recalled how Chloe Bailey got her a necklace for her birthday and added that as Chloe already takes care of her sister Halle, she brought that bond into the show as well.

In her turn, Chloe had nothing but nice things to say. She said she had an instantaneous connection with Dom and revealed the first time they met up, it just clicked for her. Chloe said she, Dom, and Donald formed a quicker bond, and as the team did not get a long time to get to know each other, it was just like the puzzle piece falling into the right place. She further showered her co-star with love by noting that Dom is talented and added she will get an Emmy for her terrific performance. Chloe also predicted that the show will get a nod at the Emmys. She said she is manifesting this to happen and noted she was proud to be a part of a project that would eventually start a serious conversation about mental health issues.

"It just felt right. It felt like a puzzle piece finally connecting together, and Dom is talented. I was telling her, “You’re going to get an Emmy.” I was like, “This show’s going to get an Emmy!” I’m all about manifesting… so I hope I don’t put my foot in my mouth. But, I’m really happy to be a part of such incredible art that will spark conversation about mental health," Chloe said.

The obsessive fan

Prime Video's 'Swarm' follows the story of a young woman named Dre and her obsession with the fictional pop star Ni'Jah. The fixation exceeds all limits and soon sends Dre on a horrifying, dark journey. 'Swarm' is largely based on popstar Beyonce and her fandom 'Beyhive', which is referenced in the title. The show's disclaimer also confirms it is inspired by real-life events. 'Swarm' is a commentary on stan culture as well as a reflection of what extent a fan could go to show their love for their idol.
