LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A sex scene featuring Chloe Bailey in Amazon Prime’s new release ‘Swarm’ has incited the internet into a heated argument sparking age-old Hollywood controversy surrounding racial discrimination. Another Hollywood heartthrob Halle Berry has also been brought into a heated row by avid movie followers.

The scene reignited the debate of “white passing” in Hollywood while wading through the murky waters of “Eurocentrism” in Hollywood. Damson Idris and Chloe Bailey’s graphic intimate scene from the series sparked rows among the netizens and it flared into a full-fledged racial discourse.

'Where is a Chloe Bailey’s mentor pls?'

Twitter erupted as the now infamous scene surfaced online. One user commented, "Where is a Chloe Bailey’s mentor pls??? She’s been making terrible decisions lately, she should have never done that sex scene in Swarm and I’m not even gonna go into her most recent collab," referring to Bailey's collaboration with Chris Brown for the music video 'How Does it Feel'. However, one fan defended the R&B star, Chloe, "She can and should do whatever she wants. She’s a grown woman let her be. "Another user commented, "This is just the role she needed believe me! Her videos and content getting more provocative by the day..." Another said, "Oh, I can only imagine we are constantly being judged. Especially when it comes to our sexuality and that’s what black women have to be cautious about…..it’s unfair but it’s the world we live in."

'White passing'

While Halle Berry's scene in 'Monster Balls' won her the Oscars, Bailey's role is inciting controversies. One user commented, "Halle Berry is not black she's biracial “white passing” plus she was Hollyweirds favorite. Megan Good just talked about how hard her career has been by taking these type of roles. Chole will learn the hard way we don't make up the rules," to which another commented, "Halle Berry getting back shots role got her an Oscar right?"

This probably implies Berry being biracial with more Eurocentric features became a favorite of Hollywood, while Chloe with more prominent Black features has to go through a more difficult path.

Many detractors mentioned Zendaya saying she also gets a clean chit despite doing numerous explicit scenes in 'Euphoria' owing to her mixed heritage. A user commented, "It’s like if she was zendaya or someone on THAT side this wouldn’t even be up for discussion but don’t let it be someone black , the black community so sad," another said, "Omni it wouldn’t they praised her for every sexual thing and drug thing she did in EUPHORIA …"

A Twitter user commented, "You would never see an Angela Bassett, or a Denzel Washington doing a scene like this, so all these black actors coming up…there’s going to be issues because they will do anything to get a role. Sad. Hence, Halle Berry and “Monsters Ball"" to which another fan replied, "Don't agree w/ the Halle Berry opinion because that had some level of art to it. I do agree there needs to be a taste level. This just feels gratuitous, and I don't feel like its art or anything but cheap porn Denzel really was thoughtful always! I see regrets in the future."
