The trailer, released by Amazon Prime Video on all their social media channels, featured Billy, Hughie, Annie, Starlight, Mother’s Milk, Frenchie, and Kimiko. However, what caught the attention of the fans was Jared Padalecki's first look. Padalecki's involvement in 'The Boys' Season 5 has sparked huge excitement among the fans, who are thrilled to see him share the screen with his 'Supernatural' co-star Jensen Ackles, who made his debut as a Soldier Boy, aka Ben, in 'The Boys' Season 3.
At the time of writing, showrunner Eric Kripke hasn't revealed any details about Padalecki's character in the fifth season of 'The Boys'. However, fans can expect an exciting 'Supernatural' reunion with Padalecki and Ackles sharing some interesting encounters. In a recent interview at Fan Expo Boston, Padalecki was asked to comment on his character in 'The Boys' Season 5. "I'll say this much—my character is very excited to meet Soldier Boy. It's episode 5 of season 5. I think they're putting out the first four episodes, and then a little bit of time, and then the final four episodes. And for those who are not yet 18, do not watch it," Padalecki said at that time, as per Screen Rant.
But as soon as the official 'The Boys' trailer was released, fans did not hold back from sharing their excitement. One Instagram user commented, "Dude… what the hell? I'm so excited to watch it, like Jared and Jensen in the same series." A second user who penned, "I love how the editing is done when they introduce Jared's character. Immediately cutting to Jensen, where he gives a look at that and just screams, 'Sam?'" Another netizen went on to say, "Soldier Boy is back, baby! Jared and Jensen together is gonna be epic, a Supernatural reunion, let’s go, can't wait for April 8th."
