The plot of the live-action series will trace the same story included in anime and manga. The series traces the story of Sawako Kuronuma a high school student. People around call her "Sadako" and her classmates don't associate with her. She is all alone at her school. Shota Kazehaya is a student at the same high school. He doesn't care about what other people think and approaches Sawako Kuronuma. He is the only one who knows Sawako Kuronuma does unpleasant work for her classmates.

Because of Shota Kazehaya, other students begin to talk to Sawako Kuronuma. Her school life begins to turn into what she wished for and she also has feelings for Shota Kazehaya. 

Who stars in 'From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke'?

The cast of 'From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke' includes Minami Sara in the lead role. She is known for her performance in the 2021 Japanese drama 'Ride or Die'. Alongside Sara, Suzuka Ouji will play the role of Kazehaya Shouta. The actor has yet to make his Netflix debut.

According to Crunchyroll, the new trailer of the series feature its theme song 'Ai no Uta' (The Song of Love) performed by Japanese singer-songwriter Takaya Kawasaki.
