LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Universal Pictures' successful and eagerly anticipated action film, 'Fast X', also known as 'Fast & Furious 10', is set to hit theaters. It was revealed that 'Fast X' could be the franchise's final chapter, but it is split into two parts.

Justin Lin, who directed all of the franchise's films between 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift' and 'Fast & Furious 6', as well as 'F9', was slated to direct 'Fast X', but he dropped out due to disagreements with Vin Diesel. Louis Leterrier, a French filmmaker, was recruited to direct the film. Lin, Zach Dean and Dan Mazeau wrote the screenplay, and Lin, Diesel, Neal H Moritz, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Samantha Vincent will produce the film.

What is the plot of ‘Fast X’?

Little is known about the plot of 'Fast X,' but the preview released among the numerous Super Bowl LVII trailers showed Dom Toretto and his family preparing to face another formidable enemy. A threat from the past has resurfaced, bent on annihilating everything Dom loves.

What is the cast of ‘Fast X’?

The film has an ensemble cast which includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jason Momoa, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, John Cena, Jason Statham, Sung Kang, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, Scott Eastwood, Leo Abelo Perry, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson and Rita Moreno.

What is the buzz around ‘Fast X’?

The audience is excited to see Momoa's character, Dante, who happens to be the son of drug kingpin Hernan Reyes, who has ties with 'Fast Five'. Dante will go after Dom and his crew, even abducting Dom's son Brian. Cipher, played by Theron, makes her third appearance in the franchise, teasing her as a major player behind the scenes, possibly assisting in establishing the final threat in the next installment.

The trailer also teases some crazy and over-the-top action scenes, such as Dom driving his car into two helicopters. The franchise has come a long way, but the vibe of the franchise remains consistent and appealing to the audience.

‘Fast X’ is slated to release worldwide in theatres on May 19.
