LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jenna Ortega's 'Wednesday' Addams conquered the first spot in no time and is leading the most-watched title on Netflix for the fourth week in a row. Although it is a little shocking, considering at first there was not much hype for the series as people were second-guessing the quality of the series. Turns out, it is fabulous and people from all over the globe agree with it. Out of the eight episodes, four of them are directed by the legendary Tim Burton, who also serves as executive producer.

The shocking news is, the series premiered a month back on November 16, 2022, and it is still reigning in the top charts, giving neck-to-neck competition to Millie Bobby Brown's starring Netflix series, 'Stranger Things 4'. Up until now, no English-language Netflix series has been quite able to close the gap with the Duffer brother sci-fi series. Furthermore, 'Wednesday' received two Golden Globe nominations, one for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy and the second for Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy (for Ortega).

Jenna Ortega starrer Netflix hit 'Wednesday' will 'inevitably' be officially renewed for Season 2

The Ortega starring Netflix series was watched for 174 million hours in the December 12-18 viewing window after almost a full month of streaming. This puts it at a total of 1.2 billion minutes watched since its debut, trailing just behind 'Stranger Things' Season 4 (1.35 billion minutes) on Netflix’s chart of the most popular English-language titles of all time, where it landed last week after seizing 'Monster - Dahmer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.' Netflix measures its Most Popular charts based on hours viewed during a title’s first 28 days of availability, meaning 'Wednesday' has only three days left before its tally is finalized and will presumably not be able to pass 'Stranger Things.'

'Wednesday' is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, it stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez, Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Fred Armisen, Christina Ricci appearing in supporting roles.

You can watch 'Wednesday' on the streaming giant in case you still have not.
