LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 2022 has been Sadie Sink's year starting from the Netflix series, 'Stranger Things' Season 4 to the apparent Oscar buzz 'The Whale'. Sink previously claimed she couldn't imagine the amount of love she got from the fans for her performance in 'Stranger Things' Season 4 as she was a late joiner to the main cast which already consisted of Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, and Noah Schnapp.

According to critics, Sink has delivered a show-stopping performance in 'The Whale'. That is not all, along with the fans and the critics, Sink agrees she is proud of the Oscar-contending project which showcases her as Brendan Fraser's daughter. Sink made her television debut in a 2013 episode of 'The Americans' and her film debut in the sports film 'Chuck' in 2016. Shortly after, she had her breakthrough portraying Max Mayfield in the science fiction drama series 'Stranger Things' on Netflix. In 2021, Sink again got a massive amount of love when she played the lead role in Taylor Swift's short film 'All Too Well.'

In a recent interview with Collider, Sink opened up about her emotions when she was shooting 'The Whale'. She said, "It was that rehearsal process, and not just blocking everything out, but also, Darren kind of encouraged us to just sit and watch all the other scenes that were being rehearsed. I think that was a great way to focus us all and just a great bonding experience. So yeah, I would say just the way that the rehearsal process was approached, I want to do that on everything now.”

She further added, “I’m thinking of one in particular that I won't say, but where I just kind of left being like, ‘Man, I should have tried it this way,’ or you just kind of get in your head about it. But I think watching the finished product, everything just clicked, and I don't think I've ever felt as proud of something as I have for this project.”

However, 'The Whale', is a psychological drama film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Brendan Fraser as the main character of the movie, Charlie. The film is based on a screenplay by Samuel D Hunter adapting Hunter's 2012 play of the same name. Apart from Fraser and Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins, and Samantha Morton also star in the movie.

'The Whale' is currently running in theaters near you.
