'The Bachelor' 2023: Kylee feels guilty over ruining Anastasia's chance with Zach, fans say 'cut it out'
THE BAHAMAS, CARIBBEAN: Kylee Russell, a contestant on 'The Bachelor', had only been seeing Zach Shallcross for a few weeks when she was ready for more one-on-one time, even if it meant getting over some butterflies in her tummy. However, she later regrets calling out a fellow competitor during their one-on-one time when things go awry.
A group date is usually primed for drama on 'The Bachelor,' and the February 13 episode was no exception. This week, Anastasia Keramidas and Kylee were tense as they traveled on a group date in the Bahamas with Zach Shallcross and ten other ladies. The group date was enjoyable, low-key, and pleasant, but Anastasia upset some of the other ladies by pulling Zach away before the one-on-one chats began. But why did Kylee hold herself responsible for Anastasia's failed relationship with Zach?

Why does Kylee feel guilty about calling out Anastasia?
Anastasia and Kylee were going around in circles over their miscommunication, so Kylee decided to bring it up with Zach. She described the problem to him and then added some more facts she believed he should be aware of. "This is all just very hearsay, but I did have a conversation with Charity [Lawson] and she was expressing to me that Anastasia’s head is in so many different directions," Kylee explained. "She’s constantly talking about how many Instagram followers she’s going to get while being here."
Zach was shocked, and Kylee reaffirmed that she had never heard Anastasia say these things directly to her. Zach confronted Charity about it, and she confessed that she did "overhear" Anastasia mention Instagram followers. "I think, with Anastasia, things were picking up between us, and now, hearing this information, it brings back the fears of, ‘Is this all fake and for an ulterior motive?'” Zach agreed. "That is my nightmare in all of this. I don’t want that."
Without making any assumptions, Zach approached Anastasia and confronted her about the charges. She stated that she went on the show to connect with him and meet her soulmate. "I’ve talked with the girls about brands I work with and told them I’d connect them," Anastasia said of the Instagram scenario.
Zach stated that he needed time to think about it. Kylee said that she was the one who took Anastasia up to Zach when she joined the rest of the girls. Anastasia argued that the statement was "taken out of context."
Zach began the cocktail party by taking Anastasia aside and asking her how she was feeling about everything. Zach was grateful that Anastasia had opened up to him, but he felt that the statement about Instagram followers didn't "come out of thin air." He chose to send her home before the rose ceremony. She was very unhappy, and she asserted in her vehicle confessional that she had been "manipulated" in the scenario. Meanwhile, Kylee was concerned that she would be considered "collateral damage," and that Zach would send her home for starting the drama. Furthermore, she also broke down in front of other girls, stating how she didn't want to ruin Anastasia's chance with Zach.
'Biggest fake cry I’ve ever seen Kylee'
Fans were quick to call out Kylee who seemed upset about the whole Anastasia situation, "Biggest fake cry I’ve ever seen kylee…." Another fan while blaming her wrote, "Not Kylee crying over the whole situation that SHE CREATED #thebachelor come on." Calling her a drama spreader, a fan commented, "I'm a few minutes behind but I hope Kylee goes home. I don't like drama spreaders and contestants that tell the Bachelor/Bachelorette petty things about other contestants. I'm sure Kylee is a nice girl but cut it out!" A fourth viewer just tweeted, "Kylee, get a grip."

One more fan quipped, "Kylee when she When she got the didn’t think she Vs final rose was getting the rose." While calling her annoying a fan wrote, "Nah. Kylee’s mad annoying. She lied about Zach asking her about Anastasia - she volunteered that info about the followers out of thin air. And if it was so important for him to know, why wait until the day you have beef with stasia to bring it up?" Some fans also think she was more worried about herself than Anastasia, "Kylee knows what she did was petty which is why she's so panicked."
