LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix is the world’s leading streaming platform and adds hundreds of new titles in a span of one week. Over the years, the streaming platform has been responsible for giving viewers amazing entertainment. However, in recent times, the streamer has faced a lot of backlash for canceling shows that were being liked by a large chunk of people and were considered to be fan favorites. If you go and see the streamer’s social media accounts, more than 90% of the comments are about renewing particular shows. Netflix definitely has an idea about the situation, but doesn’t know how to handle it. In an image posted to Netflix’s Instagram story, the streamer has garnered a lot of backlash for criticizing subscribers for constantly insisting their favorite shows be renewed.

The post, which was from the official Taco Bell Instagram account, features a pie chart that represents the comments that are made on several of Netflix’s posts. The chart indicates that the majority of comments are about “bring______ back.” On the other hand, all the remaining comments come from spam accounts. Social media users got really angry at such an incendiary social media post and slammed the streaming platform for mocking people who pay for their services. Fans of ‘Warrior Nun’ were particularly annoyed with such a post because the show was canceled after two seasons and fans never got proper closure.

Fans blast Netflix for such an 'arrogant' post

One of the fans wrote, “Making fun of the people who pay for your service is not a good look. Do better. Maybe start with genuinely listening to them. WHAT THE HELL NETFLIX.” Another social media user tweeted, “Netflix, you never deserved this cast. You never deserved this story. You never deserved our subscriptions. You never deserved a single thing Warrior Nun gave you. And now you dare to mock us? Whoa, you're f***ed.” Another fan noted, “C’mon @netflix is mocking your customers really your social media engagement strategy? WHAT THE HELL NETFLIX.” Another social media user tweeted, “Imagine to be proud that most of your clients are annoyed with your services NETFLIX WHAT THE HELL.” Another user wrote, “When people who make these decisions are so completely out of touch with their actual audience and what they want, this happens. get off your high horses already. listen to the people who give you your platform in the first place WHAT THE HELL NETFLIX.” Another fan commented, “Netflix, this isn’t funny anymore - listen to your subscribers for once instead of mocking them! We deserve to be heard! WHAT THE HELL NETFLIX.”

Netflix is known for canceling fan-favorite shows

This kind of backlash is not new for Netflix. In recent times, the streaming platform has canceled a lot of fan-favorite shows such as ‘Warrior Nun’, ‘Midnight Mass’, ‘The Midnight Club’, ‘GLOW’, ‘The Society,' '1899' and more. Since then, fans have been really frustrated with what Netflix has been doing because the shows that they canceled were also some of their most diverse. With such a reaction, we don’t think Netflix will ever try to mess with the public again, especially ‘Warrior Nun’ fans who are continuously making efforts for the show’s renewal.
