TWICE Nayeon loses pink Chanel wallet, fans search it from ‘opposite side of the world’

Fans make hilarious memes while trying to help find the K-pop idol's wallet online

Being a fan of TWICE means it’s never a dull day. On February 9, Nayeon posted that she had lost her wallet. She shared that she paid for a taxi on her way home and kept her wallet in her bag. She then went to practice at JYPE’s building and didn’t use it but remembered having it in her bag. She didn’t even bring her wallet to a fitting that she had last night. However, she lost it. Nayeon added that she had reported it as lost to the police.

The TWICE member also requested that if someone finds it to send it to the JYPE building. Nayeon also wistfully commented, “Anyone know how it feels when you lose your wallet…? It doesn't have to be returned to me, I at least want to know where it is.” She shared that nothing important was in the wallet but she was quite attached to it. The wallet is a pink Chanel.

Fans help look for the wallet

Well, in response there are some ONCEs (TWICE's fandom) who are genuinely concerned and sharing Nayeon’s post on Twitter in hopes that it reaches the person who finds the wallet. On the other hand, there are fans who find the situation hilarious and are making memes on how ONCEs on the opposite side of the world are trying to find a wallet lost in Seoul, South Korea.

We had TWICE fans making tweets like, “Nayeon's wallet is missing. If ever you found a pink Chanel wallet, please return it to JYPE #FindNayeonsPinkWallet,” and “Nayeon thinking to drop by police station to ask if anyone found any missing wallet. Now Nayeon is asking ONCE if they found it and please return it to JYPE. It's a pink wallet.” A concerned ONCE added, “No but seriously i hope nayeon rlly gets her wallet back or at least contacts banks to do smth abt her cards bc that's scary as hell.”

'Retrace your steps'

Other fans joked, “If someone from jype flex they bought something expensive that's where Nayeon's wallet is at.” Another ONCE added, “When they put the entire JYPE building on lockdown and find nayeon’s wallet in someone else’s bag.” One fan made a reaction meme, “Me about to fly over to korea just to look for nayeon’s wallet.” Another commented, “People of South Korea, if you found a pink wallet please return it to the JYPE building immediately. Whoever returns Nayeon's wallet will receive a kiss from pd-nim himself and a Twitter party courtesy of Onces twt community.”

Is Jeongyeon pulling a prank?

One fan posted, “Nayeon: "I lost my wallet..." Onces: "OKAY JUST RETRACE YOUR STEPS AND LOOK AT WHERE YOU WERE TODAY".” Another invested ONCE said, “Me refreshing twitter every two seconds to see if nayeon already finds her pink wallet yet.” Some also wondered if it was a prank, “Imagine Jeongyeon waking up  seeing that Nayeon's pink wallet is trending and remembering that she hid it as a prank,” and “Jeongyeon sleeping peacefully after hiding Nayeon's wallet for a prank and completely forgetting about it.”

One ONCE tweeted, “Me looking for nayeon’s wallet despite being on the opposite side of the world.” Another fan made a missing poster, “LOST: NAYEON'S WALLET, FOR EVERYONE WHO FOUND IT PLS GIVE IT TO JYPE.” One commented on the aftermath, “One day after telling us that she lost her wallet, Nayeon's on ig acting like nothing happened?????????? GANYAN BA PAG RICH KID?????” 

Another ONCE treated it as a K-pop achievement, “CONGRATULATIONS TO @JYPETWICE Im Nayeon for becoming the first female Kpop idol to lose her wallet this 2022!!!
