Fans were excited when they saw that TWICE member Tzuyu had gone live on VLive after a long time. She went live on August 26 while on her way to a schedule. She talked about her lunch, her newly dyed purple hair and was basically chatting with ONCEs (TWICE fans). No one thought of the VLive much till one fan pointed out something dangerous on August 28.

Fans were talking about TWICE’s variety show ‘Time To TWICE’ which had aired its latest episode on August 27. They couldn’t get over how the rest of the members were showering Tzuyu with a lot of love. But the cheerful mood went down immediately when a fan brought to everyone’s notice that Tzuyu had gotten a death threat in her VLive.

Tzuyu gets a death threat on VLive

On Tzuyu’s August 26 VLive, there was a comment left by a troll who wrote harsh and provoking words and ended the comment with a death threat. Fans were alarmed as they just noticed it and so rushed to circulate it on social media on August 28. They tagged every JYPE social media account and begged them to take action. They’ve also created email templates and are sending them to every JYPE email they can find. Fans are worried as this is not the first time JYPE has been lax.

Previously, a German stalker claimed he would fly to Seoul to make Nayeon love him while Dahyun was seen to be covered in bruises. And before that Jihyo and Mina were mobbed at an airport. And just a week before Tzuyu’s VLive, on August 22, fans demanded better treatment for her. They pointed out that Tzuyu had the least solo activities despite her influence, visuals and talent. Fans also noticed that she did not have a single solo magazine photoshoot since TWICE's debut.

'Protect your artist'

And with Tzuyu being the youngest member, fans are scared for her regarding the death threat she has received. While the comment might have been left by a troll who has no intention of carrying it out, ONCEs do not want to take any chances and are urging JYPE to protect her. They have been trending ‘#ProtectTzuyu’ all morning with posts like, “Someone threatened to k!ll tzuyu in a live, do something about this situation and please protect your artist @jypnation,” and “This kind of thing scared the sh/t out of me.”

One tweeted, “Wtf is actually happening. People are really crazy if they think they can say anything to anyone without facing consequences. No matter from which Fandom you are, this is something serious and we all should fight against this. @jypnation protect your artist.” Another added, “Give Tzuyu the promotion she deserves. We require equal treatment for Tzuyu and will no longer stand her mistreatment.”
