'Turning Red': Fans say Disney film is 'fun and refreshing' and 'needs a show' of its own

Turning Red’, the latest animated Disney movie, is probably one of the best ones out there. With friendship, love, and hilarity in heaps, this movie is sure to be one of your favorites.  The coming-of-age fantasy comedy film is produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Directed by Domee Shi (Pixar short Bao) for her feature directorial debut, the screenplay is courtesy herself and Julia Cho. 

A sudden monumental change in 13-year-old Mei Lee, causes all hell to break loose as she transforms into a big, furry, red panda. Will she embrace herself for who she is or want to eradicate this new change for good?

'Turning Red' stars the voices of Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Ava Morse, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Hyein Park, Orion Lee, Wai Ching Ho, and James Hong. In fact, the film has quite a few records for itself. It is the first Pixar film to be solely directed by a woman, the first to take place in Canada, and the second to feature an Asian lead character after 'Up'.
